Is the (business) map gone again? Looks like the site has had a bit of a makeover.

Yer it disappeared about a week ago.
Downer have been and gone in our area and all the fibre seems to be in place (black boxes on each of the power poles), the letter in the mailbox said they'd be finished on 8th July and they actually finished 3 days early. Chorus map is still saying September.
Goddam map has been unavailable for over a week now.
I posted on the Chorus facebook page, it sounds like it is gone for good now!

The business broadband map has been down for several days again
Chorus: Hey Anthony, the use of the map has declined to the level where it is not worth supporting any more. Instead we will be putting our attention into adding additional features into our broadband checker. We will be delivering these enhancements in the coming months ^Jon

Which probably means dumbing down the main consumer broadband checker even more..

That sucks. I've just now asked more or less the same question on the Chorus FB page, using my partner's FB account.
I've never had my own FB account, so I'm not that clued on how to find posts and things on FB and I couldn't find the answer that you received above. Now I can't even find the message that I posted to the Chorus page. Frustrating!!!
@chorusnz is this correct? That fibre rollout map that was overlaid on a Google maps has been removed permanently? Inquiring minds would like to know please.
You can't see your posts until Chorus reply to them
It's a real shame if they are permanently pulling the detailed availability map. Came in handy numerous times.
4 months since consent was gained for my UFB install, and still no fibre. Experience seems to vary wildly depending on the sub contractor you get. One thing that appears consistent however, is that transparency and communication of progress is woeful.
The consumer facing map isn't working that well either (says the guy posting from his non-existent VDSL connection).

We had our old ADSL connection disconnected for a few months, but it was switched back on a couple of weeks ago. And it was converted to VDSL last week.
I asked this question on the Chorus facebook page:
"UFB rollout map?
www.chorus.co.nz/login?redirect=/broadband-options/for-business/broadband-map
You are redirected to this page now. No indication of why a login and password are now required. Someone told me that this google map overlay has been removed.
What is the official word on this please?"
I got this reply:
"Hi, the usage of this map had dropped so low that it is no longer worth us supporting it. Will will now be putting all our efforts into updating our broadband checker to bring further enhancements to it, We expect to release these in the coming months. ^JD" [Jon Dow]
So yes, they've done away with that permanently. Very disappointing! ![]()

I've noticed that it can take several weeks for information about connection speed and connection type to be updated. Please stand by...

That seems like a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy, really! First they hide the map under the business page, then stick it behind a login for days at a time... of course usage is going to decline if they do things like that!
