Actual downstream, the Fritz Box says

Max DSLAM: 130032/30000 kbps. Attainable: 124314/45861 kbps. Current Throughput of 124314/29999 kbps.

both are examples of this doing exactly what chorus planned it to do.

as noted a few pages back, the 30mbit was a compromise, chorus originally wanted it to be lower!

High download is a easy PR number as the non techys only care about that.

Some nice downstream gains coming through, I'm rural so not expecting too much from Vectoring but anything is a good thing.
Upstream must be a bummer if you maxed out link before to drop 10Mbps

I have a DV130 and a 2760 I look after both due for the upgrade on the 22nd (different cabinets) so will be keeping a close eye on them.

i expect your line is going to have near no improvement, it's already impressive!

you lucky bugger though, i wish i had 1.50 NF4Vs! i try not to buy too many modems though... already have a massive box sitting in the corner overflowing.

NF4V paid for, postage was 6x price of Modem
Will make a good backup to DV130 should it die

I think most who frequent this particular section of GZ will have that box of gear collected over the years
I have several, with much disgust from the Mrs :)

We are rural but are serviced by a cabinet just within the urban area (RDB/M, which is 1.5 km cable distance from us). 

No red dot anywhere near the cabinet, or near us ...

When I was in the Phillippines I would have been over the moon to have the speed I presently get here.

It's proportional though, that's the thing... 

If you give someone something, and then take it away, to many it's like ripping the money straight out of their hands.

I personally wouldn't have appreciated a drop of up to 20mbit in upload speed, but the general public would certainly appreciate their 80mbit line jumping to 120mbit.

Heck, they might not even upgrade to fibre if it's betting the baseline package!

Hi, from the look of the map you created our upgrade should happen this Thursday, 24/05/2018. I currently just have the Spark Huawei HG630b and have never upgraded the firmware.

I have VDSL and must be on the very limit as we are just under 2km's from the roadside cabinet. Getting 22Mbps download and just over 1.5Mbps upload. this was a big jump from the ADSL we previously had.

The info on here has been very interesting and I am hoping we will benefit but have a couple of questions

1. is the HG630b compatable with the vectoring and do i need to update the firmware?

2. at the distance we are from the cabinet can i realistically expect much of an increase in speeds?
