Ah right. I got confused and forgot it's the broadcom cards that do vectoring not Ikanos.

I have one new problem now. Since I queried my connection with 2Degree's support (concurrent with when I made my post the other night). They said they did a port refresh and the Path Mode changed from 'Fast' to 'Interleave' and my upstream speed dropped back to 26mbps. I'm definitely getting slower upstream speeds now by a few megabits.

Any advice on how to get them to undo whatever they did?

Your only option is to wait.

It's so easy to reset back to scratch, but so hard to go back and go oh... Yeah, you gotta wait sorry customer.

I wish RSP's had a little more control over actions - EG allow just a port reboot or no destructive reset.

Clearing out ddDLM data can be great, but often it's also so counter productive.

At a network level, it's doing what it should, It's also cleaning up records if you had a real old profile... so it's rather useful from that angle.

Ooooooohhhhh.....right. I forgot about ddDLM. So this is just a question of waiting and then it will self-correct. Totally forgot about that.

Can you remind me again about how long it takes for ddDLM to do it's thing? I can't recall if it's a week or multiple weeks?

Can you remind me again about how long it takes for ddDLM to do it's thing? I can't recall if it's a week or multiple weeks?

@spacedog it's always doing it thing but the first 10 days it's doing more

DdDLM got stuck on one of my lines for like 4 months.
I eventually got frustrated and tweaked a few things...

That tweaking was enough for ddDLM to kick in and realize line conditions had changed.
It's always working... But there is always the question of, does it think the peofile your on is the correct one? If so there many not be any movement.

i dropped the snr -3db to get from 9db back down to 6db, Literally 2 days later i was rocking 3db. It's stayed there since..

I'd not recommend 3db for most lines, but a rural line like mine sees a deviation of about .5dB at max. a bit of that I'm 99% sure is RFI from a power cable that i'm yet to identify...

I expect switching a modem would cause the same thing.. There is a science to it i'm sure, but i haven't really sat down and asked the questions!
