From what I can tell from my modem stats, my connections interleave depth is zero.

Its not a flash connection however.

Totally died about two weeks ago, chorus tech came & had a look & fixed, and its been limping along ever since.

dDDLM has slowly been bringing it back up to life, and now my upload is well over 50% better than before dDDLM, download is getting there.

Big gap between Maximum down rate, and Actual down line rate.

I am not quite sure if ddDLM is being cautious resulting in some people stuck in limbo as you have said. Believe it or not. ddDLM has been visiting my line every day this week resulting in 4am re-sync pretty much every morning. It is now making adjustment in increment of 1 Mbps instead of 5 or 10 Mpbs increment. It looks to me like it is trying very hard at fine tuning the line now after it has established the upper and lower performance limit.

Interesting thing is before ddDLM my latency was stuck at 20ms according to SpeedTest since I switched to VDSL in March. In the last few days SpeedTest has reported 13 ms latency which is quite a bit lower. Perhaps there is hope for you ...

I've had a very different experience. I've only had three resyncs in total, with the first two being the first two days after the ddDLM switchover and the last back on page 16 of this thread (23 May). Each has nudged SNR down and interleaving up.

As I still have some CRC errors (an acceptable level) I wonder if ddDLM is simply finished with my line. If so I've traded 45/7 with no latency for 70/18 with quite a lot of latency. I hardly ever game anymore so I can't complain.

As Chorus did not publish the algorithm used by ddDLM, all of us are guessing how it is working. My own observation is ddDLM is trying establish an upper limit and a lower limite on performance and then fine tune within that range. Since ddDLM has gone live on my line around ANZAC weekend, my down stream speed has bounced between 62 and 45 which is quite a wide range. It has now settled around the 55 mark with fine tuning of 1 MBps increment.

ddDLM was making frequent changes at the beginning and then hibernate for 10 days or so and then making active changes again. This week ddDLM has been particularly active on my line with changes in 1 Mbps increment.

My gut feel is ddDLM is not done with your line. It is sitting in the background collecting stats and deciding on the next change.

After ddDLM went active on my line it was 70/30 with DLM-1 for 3 days. After that delay, INP and interleave depth went up and stayed that way. Virtually every resync it made since then has been no change at all, not even SNRM which is staying at 12db. Just had another resync this morning and nothings changed.

I guess it's trying to move back to DLM-1 but keeps failing somewhere, otherwise why would it make pointless resyncs with no changes?

DLM-1 does not exist anymore.

Your snr will stay around 12dB, possibly go even higher. 70/30 is the max for your linecard.

Likely ddDLM is adjusting it's power levels since your line doesn't require much to max out.

DLM visited a few times last week with only minor changes to sync speed and a slight adjustment of SNR values. Our Interleave depth and ping has also remained static.

However, an interesting event happened last night between 6pm and 11.30pm where our normally rock solid VDSL connection re-synced 7 times during the evening (Draytek DV130 'Xdsl Link Times' climbed from 6 to 13) but the Netgear router log only showed two internet reconnects during the evening.

It appears that there was some issue at the cabinet/exchange end and it seems it was resolved at 11.30pm because the connection is back to stable since then with no reconnects since.

The interesting thing is that the sync speed, even with all the re-links, remained the highest I have had at 74.7 Mbps down and 13.7 up.

Well power cut happened while i was out today,

Looks like delay on Upstream jumped down to 6ms, INP went up to 0.5.

Depths changed ever so slightly, but nothing of value.

Not sure how many times it was on and off in this time, as my monitoring wasn't running - UPS is sitting in my room on the box replacing my current VM host...

Just noticed a very strange development with my VDSL line.

ddDLM has assigned a target margin of 8dB (Target margin on the DSLAM side)

Seems we have new figures in the field at play...

For some reason I've been switched from 8b to 17a over the weekend. I have no idea why, given I'm nowhere near even the top speed of 8b, although it has perhaps netted me about another 250kbps on the uplink. That small of a variation could just be from resyncing though.
