macuser: Our building is in the consent phase.

Chorus, does this mean just the body corporate is asked, or every apartment owner in the entire building?

If you have a body corporate, you do not have to acquire consent from the tenants. The body corporate is in charge of consent.

Is it possible to kickstart the consent phase prior to UFB being available? Making it easier for me to request a connection come install day?

They've literally finished digging up all of the sidewalks last week but our availability isn't until June. There is already HSNS fibre in our building if that helps at all.

You would have to contact your intened RSP and ask them if they would be willing to start the ball rolling - Asuming the area is Chorus for the LFC, they don't start the process without a vaild request for a connection from a RSP. Even with existing Chorus fibre being used for HSNS it is more likely than not that new fibre, specificaly for UFB, will be required - due to the ageing of exiting fibre, availablity of spare fibres and that the UFB network is keep off the exisiting fibre network where ever possible (exceptions apply)
