Yep, fibre is coming, I was hoping vectoring would be enabled in Kirwee before the up to 5 year wait for fibre to be installed
So if I get this correct Chrous is upgrading some cabinets with the latest Nokia equipment with VDSL2 vectoring. If they are replacing hardware what about adding the G.fast standard as well?

Zero-Touch is a Nokia solution, they dont want it copied.
The ISAM knows which CPE are not Vectoring friendly or capable, then the ISAM can cancel a non-vectoring modem's downstream signal on the affected vectored lines - as the crosstalk can still be calculated.
From what I've seen it works really well, and the main limitation is no upstream vectoring. The new line card which supports vectoring is, anecdotally, performing better upstream anyway.
Considering AL already have an equal same named feature, I'd say copied is a little far gone. Reading between the lines, think i have the answer i was looking for anyway :)
Glad to hear the new linecards are better on upstream although hearing zero touch can't do anything for that channel is a shame! Can't always wave a magic wand though...

Having all RSPs swap modems was simply not an option, so Zero-Touch is a necessity.

agreed, replacing all the modems would be pushing it, I'd hope overtime those modems are replaced though ;)

Looks like the HG series should be ok, older TG series on sparks side seem to be a little unfriendly...
I was hoping this would be the argument for death of those hg630b's personally, I'm still going to have to keep them out there i suppose!
May be slightly firmware dependant, but chipset looks good for it.
There is currently a big scary message left on some dslams about compatibility with vectoring, highly suspect this is actually caused by vectoring not actually being flicked on those lines though.

There's only one TG on Spark's list.
The Spark HG's all have a vectoring compatible chipset (BCM63168), as does their TG (BCM6368) and their Pace (VR9). Some or all might require a firmware update, but Spark should be able to do that remotely, right?

he A2pv6C038k1, A2pv6C038h, and B2pvC038h firmware supports only G.vector features on VDSL2 and can be used only for G.vector type of deployments.
Looks like it may be good to go.
Further changelogs indicate it may be more G.993.2 Annex Y rather than full vectoring.
I'd upgrade the firmware if possible.

So it would appear I am going to have to do something. I purchased this router new in 2011 and am using it's original modem FW.
Previously I have used the modem firmware files but in researching this I saw a mention that some IOS may come with modem firmware - is this correct? Or would I download the modem firmware as previously to achieve this upgrade?
