chevrolux: Logged in to that Pharmacy with the flash connection... got quite a shock when I saw the rates....

Haven't been on site to actual test this but pretty dam impressive!! We were going to order UFB for this customer but being in a big MDU the hassle is just not worth it considering these rates.

Managed to get on site to actually test this connection out. I am extremely impressed!!!!!

damn, it rolled over to 17a huh?

Would love to see you do another run of those stats now that its on 17a.

Nice

@hio77 another line with high attenuation and US0 enabled

Pretty much every morning since the switch over at approximately 420am i have been seeing 1000+ CRC errors per minute for 1 minute and the line resyncs. not sure whats causing this . I dont see many if any CRC errors at any other time of the day

Thanks to Neil at Spark :)

Christchurch Spark VDSL connection went from about 44Mb/s to 61Mb/s down.
A nice wee bump. Happened last Friday with only a brief interruption to the service.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Tell ya what, when they are finished with the scheduled upgrades, if Chorus don't pop in here and mention it.. I'll come in here and update you all once they give us the confirmation that they have finished.

If I had to guess I would say they are about 78% through.

It's not North to South, it's not highest population to lowest population, it's not alphabetical...

the TBY (Torbay, Auckland) exchange is only scheduled for the 10th December (according to info BigPipe gave to me from Chorus).. so I'm guessing there are still a considerable number to go - unless of course TBY was made to be last due to my bitchin'n'moaning!

I don't know what Chorus are upto here where I live but this morning I find my VDSL2 sync has changed some for the better and some for the worse

when I first got VDSL my syncs were 37.9d/10u the over a period of time (roughly 1.5yrs) it dropped to 24.7d/8.4u and stayed there
well this morning my NF4v must have re-synced and is now sitting on 39d/7u, So it's now 2Mbps better than it was when first installed on the Download sync but much worse than it has ever been on the upload side of things

Mode:

VDSL2 Annex B

SNR Margin (0.1 dB):

90

86

Attenuation (0.1 dB):

166

damn that sucks, and it seems unlikely you will get bumped to 17a :(

we need all the upload we can get!
