quickymart: Who uses ISDN still?
Common sense is not as common as you think.
plambrechtsen: Just a FYI on this, there has been an internal comm's to our rep's about this issue and I hope everyone here is smart enough to respond to them in the appropriate way if they call.
If anyone has received a call or been slammed then please email slamming@telecom.co.nz with dates & times of the call and what you were told so the team can investigate it. Also ring up 123 and speak with a CSR as they will be able to move your services back to how they should have been as Telecom takes a very dim view of customers being slammed as it's bad for the whole industry.

Call me old fashioned but you know this whole thing could be avoided if Telecom didn't outsource their reselling or get organisations to do something that Telecom themselves should be doing via their own sales team.

I have no idea how you came to this conclusion, I wonder even if you read the thread?

kawaii: Yes I have read the thread and the problem starts the moment you open the door as to allow others to resell your services. The moment you open the door to resellers is the moment you allow every two bit conjob the ability to say "oh yeah, we also resell for Telecom!" and thus we have the train wreck that was pointed out on Whirlpool. This whole thing could have been avoided had Telecom and other businesses sold their products directly instead of this stupid idea that if you have multiple resellers then they all try and compete to get customers thus drive up adoption of said goods and services - its the idiocy of a few executives that comes down crashing and burning the moment when reality hits the road. How many times must these cons happen over and over again before the likes of Telecom realise that having third party vendors reselling their services is a dumb idea?
