richms:Behodar: Did anyone see this? Telecom wants to offer 1000/500 nationwide.
I dont think telecom understand what hitting 100% means.
Coming to you from the barely getting VDSL slums of the internet backwater.
sbiddle: My pick is somewhere in the vicinity of $400-$500 per month for a 1Gbps plan. Maybe a bit less than that if you're looking at a low cost ISP who wants to deliver an average service offering.
insane:Behodar: Did anyone see this? Telecom wants to offer 1000/500 nationwide.
But I read this on the same day over at the NBR which suggests they are as confused as ever and want to wait for national coverage first. Perhaps Telecom doesn't want to buy Spark does? Confusing

The message is consistant. Telecom wants to offer gigabit service (like any ISP), but won't until all LFCs are on board.
ripdog: So I just had a chat with Full Flavour Media, and they're trialling 1000mbit service in Tauranga and Hamilton! Unfortunately, UFF has paired it with a 30mbit upload. Talk about a non-starter. I just.. seriously don't understand how they could make that decision.

Darren0:
It's marketed as 20Mbps, but 1000/27 is the precise line rate of the circuit.
fellaintga: We will be looking for some people to trial 1Gb plans so PM me if you want to get on the trail we think retail pricing will be $149-200 month unlimited and we have ample capacity available.
