Historically DLM could not manage the spectrum change between 8b/17a (and back again). So This selection was based on loop (electrical) length only.
Also - don't forget 8b has higher power.The new dd-DLM is able to manage the spectrum switch.
DLM hasn't been holding everyone back, a DLM upgrade has allowed us to change the way we do things in this space.
Bmarquis doesn't spout rubbish, so i can certainty trust what has been said.
I'd say possibly some refining to the 17a selection may be ideal.
Although tbh the example above I'd be happy with! But then I'm not joe blogs who only cares for downstream.
