Campuses or businesses with large numbers of users
SMEs or home businesses involved in creating and uploading high quality video or graphics content
Multi-site customers with need to exchange large quantities of data between sites
High end gamers or early adopters.

Surprised that category of people is actually recognized by Chorus finally.

I tried my luck getting in on the trial. Unsuccessful unfortunately. (To be fair, I also don't meet the criteria. Fibre runs past my house, but I can't access it until December, or pay $25k)

I'm surprised they even bothered mentioning gamers considering most AAA online titles use well less than 10mbps.

Yeah, I agree there.
I suppose the amount of junk games they are throwing out the door with 200GB of updates a week it could be justified in some sense. Even then 10G would keep a small city afloat...

can understand them upgrading the road side cabinets to 10gigbit or greater and leaving the customers on 1gb/sec as that way all user in cabinet will get what paying for were presently the port in cabinet have 2.5gb/sec max though restriction hense get 3 more user on any port wanting gigabit plans and none will ever achieve it due that restriction.

You forgot this part:

*Only if they all simultaneously load up their lines 100% then they will see a contended bandwidth resource. Otherwise they will get max line speed when the perfect conditions are met (like never apart from your own ISP's speed test server, you guys literally pay to have bragging rights)

@BMarquis Please humor @hio77 and I in advising the average Gig users bandwidth usage at any given time and their months data?
