I was searching about vdsl cable, I found they are RJ11 to RJ45.
I want to buy longer cable.
Found out that there is RJ12 to RJ45 cable on the link below

Can't find any RJ11 to RJ45 cable on the site

Just want to make sure, can the RJ12 to RJ45 be use as vdsl cable?

You can sure use that cable, the difference is that RJ11 only has 4 wires terminated and RJ12 has the 6 wires terminated inside the plastic end connector. The wiring specs are still the same.

Theres no such thing as a "VDSL cable", its just a normal phone cable. Its worth using an RJ45 socket on the wall though, so if you have one of those you need a cable with plugs that match it. I have some if you want, just send me a message.

Time to find a new industry!

I also need a longer cable (5m) from the RJ45 wall jackpoint to my VDSL gateway (RJ11 or RJ12, can't recall).

I can buy RJ12 to RJ45 cables with pins connected 'crossed', or 'straight through'. Which do I need?

Also, should I be looking for twisted pair, or is flat cable fine for this type of situation?
