Everywhere I've looked has nothing at all further planned for the area in regards to either ufb or vdsl. The frustrating thing is that my neighbour according to the chorus and national broadband maps can get vdsl but I am too far away and after phone calls to 2degrees which are my current provider all they can tell me is that it depends on how far away I am from the cabinet for vdsl and they only way they can check is if I place an order for the vdsl service and hope I'm within range when it comes time to be hooked up. What seems odd to me though is that I'm closer to town than that neighbour is and that vdsl area on the map seems to start from their address and carry on further down the road for about 1km away from town then it's back to adsl again.
There have been for the last couple of days a bunch on Connect trucks and ditch witches laying what looks to be inch or inch and a half diameter green conduit along the road outside my property back towards the city but for the life of me I can't find any information about them at all - can't even find a website or phone number. Unless they're a contractor to UFF or something like that it's like they don't exist. Probably too much to hope for fibre being installed but just curious if anyone has heard of them?
Is there any way of finding out if there is a timeframe for planned rollouts if these guys aren't running fibre or are the chorus maps pretty much it?
National broadband map vdsl image :( North is to town about 3km away.
