15/08/2016 (Day0)
-Sometime between 0730 and 1330 UFB becomes available for order at my address
-1335 order UFB from 2degrees
-Received confirmation email. Stated that if I hadn't had contact from Chorus within 14 days to call them
16/08/2016 (Day1)
-1200 call from Chorus to organise scoping and final connect day 24/08 and 06/09 @1300-1700
-Received text and email from Chorus confirming dates
-I Confirmed job has been loaded at app.chorus.co.nz
17/08/2016 (Day2)
-TXT From 2Degrees @1436 to confirm connection day is 6/09/16
19/08/2016(Day 4)
-Get home from work ~1540 just as a Chorus tech turns up. Ok? Say's he's here to do the install. I said I thought they weren't coming until Wednesday. Anyway not complaining! And the timing was great.
-Install is overhead by default, I asked installer if they could run it back down the pool and through a conduit that I will install. He was happy with this until he noticed that pole was concrete and that it would have to be overhead as they were only allowed to do that for wooden poles. After a bit of a chat he said he'd contact his manager and see if we could go ahead even though the pole is concrete. Said he will call me back tonight or tomorrow.
They would have done the install right there and then if it was to be overhead. Pretty tempting!
