Another week goes by with no word from computer lounge despite them listing another consignment of Gigabyte cards today.

Anyone having better luck?

They just had a consignment of the Gaming OC today. Might be time to get in touch with them again if you got your order in before 1.30 am as you said

RTX3090?

I'm on the fence, waiting for Big navi next week and if we get a bump to 20G.

Runnig a GTX660, so going to be a massive bump in new build and waiting on Ryzen to be released so happy to wait a bit longer.

Cancelled because the card will be too expensive due to low GDDR6X yields. They'll probably wait until they can get their hands on TSMC's 7nm process next year, probably with the 40XX series.

WCCF, Videocardz and the usual suspect on YouTube don't seem to have any "real inside" information, most of the "leaks" appear to be educated guesses. I am not convinced the end of this year release date "leak" was real, therefore it's probably not cancelled.

I would not be at all surprised to see a 20Gb 3080 variant at "some point" to counter AMD releasing a higher VRAM consumer GPU variant (aka 6900XT 16GB). There is always going to be buyers (even just gamers mis-guided or not)  that are happy to trade maybe 15% of performance behind a 10GB 3080 for another 6GB of VRAM at around the same cost. It would be smart marketing by AMD, and I can't imagine Nvidia leaving that gap unplugged for long.

RTX3070 Reviews are out. It does seem pretty comparable with a 2080 Ti in real world tests.

Synthetic benchmarks don't seem quite as powerful (but still pretty close) but I'd guess they'd improve with final drivers.

The older cards are not getting any cheaper... the 3070 crushes a 2070 Super yet retailers are still asking close to a thousand bucks for the latter??

They can do that because their is next to no stock of 30 series cards.

You want a high end card? These are your two options: Buy these old cards or wait 3 months+

Once decent stocks start coming available then they’ll start dumping the old stuff - but by then, you’ll just get a 30 series anyway.

It’s quite annoying. Theirs all this new stuff coming out and you can’t actually buy it easily. I hope AMD’s cpus and gpus are easier to get a hold of, but I’m not holding my breath.

Supply and demand... the usual trading on ignorance or people who want it now vs. take your chances with the supply issues that seem to have plagued the rest of the RTX 30xx series so far, not to mention a lot of FMCGs right meow.

At this point, you might as well see what AMD has to offer in the form of Big Navi, but I also can't imagine their supply is going to be much or any better than Nvidia's.

The only people buying RTX20XX are people who have to buy one now. The OEMs and retailers are milking those hard as there is a general shortage of many PC components. PC pricing is always very dynamic as many of the components are commodity parts.

Just FYI, Zotac 3080 and 3090s are in stock at Computer Lounge at the moment - I ended up changing my order from an MSI Gaming X to a Zotac 3080 because I'm sick of waiting for a card that seems will never come. You'd think day 1 orders would've been fulfilled by now, so that's about it for me with MSI.
