I lost my Galaxy s II on my travels and have got the HTC Titan running windows phone to tie me over until I get a replacement.

I have tried the Zune podcast player but you need to connect your phone to your computer to update then and can't find how to add the podcasts to playlists apart from listening to podcasts from the same provider one after the other.

I would like one that that you can update on the run without needing to fire up the laptop.
The player i used on my android was Beyondpod and the ones i have looked at in the windows market have not been too flash.

Any. recommendations?

You don't need to plug - if you setup sync over WiFi and your PC is on, Windows Phone will connect to your Zune via the wireless LAN after a few minutes plugged to the mains, while recharging.

Ok learnt something new but I am looking for something that can download the latest podcasts without a computer involved as while I am travelling I don't always have the laptop with me.

And if possable a playlist so you don't have to select the next podcast to play manually.

You can download the latest episodes of a podcast you're already subscribed to, without reconnecting.
From "Music & Videos", go to Podcasts and you'll see the list, with a little image next to each one.

Instead of clicking on the image, click on the text and you'll get a different menu. It should have "Episodes" at the top, with a list of ones you've downloaded. Press the "marketplace" button and it should show a list of new eps available to download.

That should do it...

From my experience, this only works if your PC running Zune is also on WiFi - mine even with WiFi enabled cannot sync with my PC because the PC is connected via cables to my LAN.
