enfield: Has anybody been able to see youtube videos on n95 ?
You can't view them from the youtube website (at least I haven't been able to). You can view a selection of youtube videos though.
To do this:
Push the 'multimedia' button. Then go to 'video center'. Then scroll to 'Add new services' (the symbol with the earth and the arrow pointing up). Enter this. Then click on 'YouTube Mobile videos- beta' and and install it. Then when you go out, back into the my videos area, there should be a youtube position in the menu and you click on that.
P.s. I find the GPS to be good, although the NZ maps suck, when new ones come out, they should be good.

But for the people who got the Sky Mobile Tv to work. When I click on the link, in the 'Streaming links' folder, I get ' Unable to connect to server. Invalid URL address.'
I set up my settings using the Nokia settings thing where it sends you the settings on their website.

I set up my settings using the Nokia settings thing where it sends you the settings on their website.
I have used the setting wizards to do the initial settings for vodafone (it automatically does that once you start it).I started my subscription for SkyTV last night simply by going to the vodafone live website (Vodafone NZ Gateway - access point) and clicking on SkyTV.Then I bought the $2.50/week package and there was a list a list of available 8 channels which I bookmarked for further use :) Click on any of them and it would start streaming in realplayer, TV Out on a 56inch TV wasn't so bad :P
Buckchoi: Im having a bit of trouble setting up GPS. It finds 3 or 4 satellites in the sat info menu but its not connecting. How long does it take to connect?
It can take a while to connect the first time. It has connected when the bars turn black. My first time connecting took about 3 minutes but after that it doesn't take very long although I connected for the first time in Auckland CBD yesterday and it took me about 5 minutes as for the few days before that I couldn't get a connection but now it also doesn't take very long.
I suggest that you stay outside in an open area for a little while and that should enable you to connect for the first time.

The GPS Maps - how good are they really? I see some people say they are the big disappointment, yet you can have voice-directions in the States for a fee. I assume the disappointment is for NZ maps? How detailed do they go? Are there areas uncovered?
Also, does anyone have maps loaded for other countries that they would mind testing? Nothing big - I was just wondering if you could see if it showed innocuous streets in say, Cuzco, or Lima, or Sao Paolo? My current plan is a travel blog combined with GPS locations while I travel in South America (yeah, geek, but this is the place right? ;)) - I have no qualms with coding the bits I need, it's just whether the phone can actually do it. That is - does it have the correct software environment (Symbian, check), have the maps(?), and the hardware - will this be able to pick up GPS in the middle of nowhere, or for some reason I haven't thought of does it require cell tower reception? I would assume it just uses the satellites...but I've been known to be wrong before. Oh, and - are there countries this wouldn't work in, assuming you have a contract/sim card with the appropriate operator?
Yea, I am going to have to return my headset, it doesn't work. The radio function and the sound comes out but the button's don't work. What a pain.
I have downloaded the maps for the Usa and they are very detailed. If you want to see what voice guidance is like, go to somewhere major in America (make sure you have the maps downloaded first or are connected to 3g or WLAN), go:
1. Click on "options" 2. Scroll down and click on "plan route" 3. Select a starting point (where ever you want but I would go to a city in America (or somewhere else with good maps) first and then find a landmark or just a place anywhere). 4. Find a finishing point (you can choose one wherever you want in that land mass, near your starting point is easiest) 5. Click on "options" and then click on "show route" 6. Click "options" and go to "start simulation" and it will start a simulation of what it would be like if you were actually going on that route and it was guiding you.
Note: You DON'T have to have purchased the service for a simulation.
Also, when having a guided navigation, you may find it more fun to have the view on 3D. To do this, you push the "0" "zero" key.
