OK looks like I've found a nice bug with the screen reactivating.

If you set the brightness to less than 40% the screen will turn back on. If it's higher than 40% is seems to behave itself.

Good thing there's a work around. After a day of this rubbish my battery almost drained without any significant usage. I almost was ready to go back to WM5. :-\

You'll know if it's effecting you. If I hit the standby button it would turn straight back on most of the time, and once on it would stay on even if not charging until it was manually turned off again. Sometimes turning it off worked but only for 5-10mins max and then it would turn back on again. Thus thoughts of having to roll back.

It sure was a good advert for the battery though as the charge lasted from 6am this morning until 5ish this afternoon with the screen turned on virtually the entire time, push email and bluetooth active.

Did you get a new simcard? You need one of the latest simcards to avoid this from happening. Otherwise try upgrading radio rom separately.

i already had the "new" simcard

i was running perfectly fine on the irish version of wm6 for several months before 'upgrading' to the NZ version

the irish version also had windows live so i could sync my hotmail to the phone... i'm missing that on my NZ version :(

sorry i didn't read your post properly, you did say you had a 128k 3g sim.

You could try just updating the radio rom seperately? The OS itself shouldn't affect phone calls only the radio rom.

- get the KaiserRUU updater (updates radio rom by itself and you won't lose your data)
- download 1.54.01 (instead of your current 1.54.02.. i've found .01 works great) radio rom or try 1.47.00 if that worked for you before

otherwise you might have an issue that hasn't come up before?
