wasabi2k:

My camera is fine - really like the single interface for everything. Have you tried removing all the camera apps (Smart, Pro, Camera) and reinstalling Camera?

Yeah tried removing/reinstalling/restarting etc - no joy. Sounds like many others are having the same issues according to Google. A nuisance, as I have really embraced the whole shoot first, zoom later thing.

This post has details of the bug:

http://www.wpcentral.com/nokia-camera-coming-all-lumias-black-firmware-new-update-today
"

Finally, for those who are having reframing issues with Nokia Camera, specifically the inability to save reframes, Nokia will be pushing out an update today to fix that. Some have reported the problem on their Lumias and reportedly an uninstall/re-install could fix it.

[Update: We are told the update will be available next week due to more testing]

It is not known if the update will bring other new additions or improvements or is instead just a ‘hot fix’ for this problem.

We’ll let you know when it goes live.

I saw an update come through for Nokia Camera last night - not sure if that should contain your fix (which was apparently delayed).

In other news my case arrived from the US.

I previously had a Poetic Flipbook (http://www.yourpoetic.com/p/634/flipbook-case-for-nokia-lumia-1020-by-poetic)
Ordered from Amazon with Youshop. Mine arrived but was somewhat bent out of shape, so it didn't snap correctly on the top right. Warranty involved sending to the US so I didn't bother. Had it fitted it was nice enough, covered the screen and has 2 card slots for my HOP card. However it is very thin and there wasn't a clasp to keep it shut. If you want a slimline case you could do worse.

I just bought a generic leather one from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E9TZ4KO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
O
rdered from Amazon with Youshop. Arrived yesterday. Really happy so far. Decent construction, good padding without being bulky and has a magentic clasp. Time will tell how long it lasts (given it cost all of $7.00) but it does the job. Again has 2 card slots - one with a see through bit for ID cards.

Yeah got that update last night and it fixed reframing bug, yay. Now have a weird new issue though. When browsing Camera Roll, if I try and click the "Captured by Nokia Camera" hyperlink under the photo, it often doesn't work first time until I scroll the photo around a bit?? Anyone else experienced that?

Also, what are members' thoughts on the generic 1020 cases available on TradeMe, most around the $20 mark?

Cheers

Quick question to those with the Camera grip.

When I attach the grip and am charging it appears to stop charging when the grip is fully charged.
Of course you want to charge both devices at the same time.
Anyone else noticed this

Have anyone noticed your Nokia Lumia 1020 falling a lot? As in I put mine on the desk and sometime later *bam* on the floor. Put it on the bookcase and later on *bam* on the floor.

The vibration is turned off, so not sure what causes it to move. Haunted house perhaps?

Are you placing it screen side down? There was a report on WPCentral about this. The coating on the screen is so slippery that placing the phone on a slightly uneven surface can cause it to slide off!

Yep. But it seems to slide a long way!
