RbNutz: Hey can someone please tell me if the FM radio is in the handset or headphones? Do you need to have the headphones pluged in for the radio to work?

Bugga, why is it that Nokia is unable to put radios in phones them selfs? Something to do with interference?

The radio is in the phone. The earphones act as an aerial. You can enable the speaker to listen without the headphones on but they have to be plugged in.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

The haedphone cable is the antenna for the radio ;)

Well good news and bad news, The n73 died after only 3 days and 19 minutes usage, Codec problems. So I have one othe the first NZ release n95's on order, It will be hacking it quick-smart and enabling the SIP client. vodafone and their lockdowns, Apparently ythe local model comes with all the maps pre-installed.

I'd like help from someone if possible. I've downloaded the Nokia Software updater and then I connect my N95 and it says that there are no updates available. Is that correct? After what people have been saying on here I thought there was an update available.

There are a number of different product codes for the N95 that seem to identify what region they are meant for. The update that everyone is talking about is for the European product codes and to download it you have to change your product code, download the update then change back to your original product code.
Some here have already done this but if you follow the overseas forums, there is a mixed bag in terms of the upfrade working and also whether there is any real advantage. It may all depend on when and where your phone was made, my product code is 0548986.

Fingers crossed that the new map will be released then, I am tired of driving through the water on my way to work

Interesting to note that Vodafone may not disable VOiP here - Vodafone in Australia is saying they will no longer alter a phones native capabilities due to the consumer stink around the issue. I will be watching with interest to see what Voda-NZ does.

I really do hope the maps get updated with the phones release here!
