peejayw: Fingers crossed that the new map will be released then, I am tired of driving through the water on my way to work
NZtechfreak: Interesting to note that Vodafone may not disable VOiP here - Vodafone in Australia is saying they will no longer alter a phones native capabilities due to the consumer stink around the issue. I will be watching with interest to see what Voda-NZ does.
I really do hope the maps get updated with the phones release here!
Oh yes, the headphones act as the aerial for the radio ;]
sbiddle:
Vodafone Australia didn't cripple VoIP on the E65 either like the UK did. Voda UK forced the SIP client to connect only via a 3G access point - you couldn't set the phone to use VoIP over WiFi.
RbNutz: Do any of you do much browsing on your n95? Just been into vodafone and the charge $11 per 3mb of travel!!
This kinda rules out any surfing for me
Americancars:
I do alot of browsing on my phone buy I mainly do it at home when it is inconvenient to use my laptop so I connect using my WLAN.
Vodafone's data prices are a real rip off though. Are you sure that it is that expensive for 3g data. I thought that it was cheaper than that?
Lilly: OK so my next question is how risky is it to change a product code?
I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.
RbNutz:
Oh right, thats the way to do it. So do i change my telstra cable modem to a wisrless one?
And yea got it in front of me, these are the addon to you choose plans
Casual 0mb-$11.25 per mb
Data 3mb -$11.25
Data 15mb-$21.40
They said that you could in turn get another sim card just for data, so that you would have to have 2 sin cards and interchange them
when you used data/calling....
Broadband starter 200mb-$39.95
Broadband everyday 1gb-59.95.
paradoxsm:
???? The "burble" of American V8? Isn't it more like a purrring roar then an aggressive GROWL when you apply the gas?
Americancars:
I don't know what your modem is like but if it has a LAN cable output then you could just buy a wireless access point and plug it into a spare LAN output. That should be much cheaper than buying a whole new router.
RbNutz: Its a stand alone thing, its got one usb & one lan port, you can only use one at a time.... think i will have to get a whole new router?
And yea its B.S. having a phone with all these features But cos we'er suck in little old nz they make it to expensive for most people to justify using them!!
bonkiebonks: Problem with that is, as soon as the company even plans to build a new network, Vodafone would slash its prices to kill off the competitor.
