Anyone figured out if you can save a track on the GPS?

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Would you guys think it is safe to bank online using N95 through the standard URL? For example, www.asb.co.nz, www.anz.co.nz?

Or is it best practice to go through their mobile sites? I do it through wifi so the costs of downloading graphics isn't an issue.

Does it come up with one of those "you are accessing an encrypted page" things on the phone. If it does, then it would probablly be safe but I can't guarantee that.

You just need to download and install Sports Tracker from here and after you have made your track, save it in Google Earth format, simple!

Check out the Doom-related posts at symbian-freak, theres one there with a collection of WADS (all of which work with C2Doom, or at least I'm pretty sure, so far they all have for me).

EDIT 9.45 pm: I just drove around the block. It would be good if we could redo the maps in the maps application using information from Sports Tracker as it mapped my street and surrounding streets very accurately. It even got the bit where, in a dead end street, I did a u turn (I used the whole turning area provided). It showed the bulb where I did it. I'm very impressed with this application. Every day I seem to get more impressed with this phone.

Can't beat the burble of that American V8. Ohh yea!

Im using this application called Mgmaps which uses google maps and the map detail is awsome but the thing is you need to have wifi,,, there must be some way that we can save google maps and then toggle offline with the help of the gps reciever :\

You only need an internet connection to download maps or to download navigation instructions ie "Turn left at the next corner" type of thing. As navigation is not (yet?) available in NZ we can forget about that. You need to have the NZ map installed on your phone, its about a 5mb download. If you download the map via Vodafones data network it will cost you quite a bit. If you have a wireless connection at home you can use that to download it.
After you have the map installed you do not need an internet connection for anything else, just turn on the GPS, give it a few minutes to lock and off you go!

Also to add to what peejayw has said, you can also download the maps via Nokia Map Loader although this is very slow and kept freezing at about 73% for me.

Also, whenever I try to get a satellite fix in Auckland CBD, it takes forever, and I mean FOREVER. I assume that it is because I can't see the horizon, but probably because I can't see very much of the sky at all in some areas. It is rather annoying though because I get 5 satellites but none of the bars turn black. Oh well, it does eventually lock on.

Thank you for your help. I have downloaded and install the maps as you explained. So now I must be having some kind of problem with what I'm doing next. I then open up maps and GPS pos is at the bottom for about three seconds and then it is replaced with a X. So am I meant to go into the map and get GPS position from there or something different?

The first time your gps locks on can take some minutes but subsequent locks will be faster. You need to make sure the slider is open as the gps antenna is in the base of your phone. You also need a clear view of the northern sky where most of the satellites are, if you cant see the sky, the satellites cant see you! Once the gps has locked on, the icon will change, the red "x" will disappear and you will be connected. Best bet is put the phone outside facing north, give it 5 minutes and then come back and check, you should now see thesatellite icon has changed.
