On the subject of the camera with the portico update my photos are sharp as a tack! I didn't take many before the update but wow this thing takes great images!

I used the same HK version you used, where are you seeing the Chinese?

it was the preinstalled apps and i found the Chinese kb installed too, when i removed all these i haven't seen a glyph since :-)

Portico is back on navifirm, grab it if you haven't already.

Never heard of Navifirm until now. But I think I want it. It's a Nokia update *tool*?.

Where does one get it? Hopefully, the Portico update will be self-explanitory from there on.

I am using navifirmplus 1.7 got it from a Symbian site.

You also need nokia care suite 5.0 ???

Navifirm downloads to its own folder, then you copy it across to nokia care suite to run the recovery

This is a good guide, actually pretty simple, downloading the update takes ages though

Googling... I mean Binging around... I see there's a WP 7.8 update out there too - might be worth posting elsewhere on here (maybe a seperate topic?) for Nokia 800 etc users. Will leave that to the boss - Mauricio? :)

Hi guys hope someone can help. Everytime I try to log into linkedin it tells me to date/time/time zone settings as it may not differ from linkedin server settings by more than 5 minutes. Any suggestions?

Make sure your time zone is correctly set and then check your time and date are set correctly.

This is true for WP7, but WP8 has proper VOIP integration which includes using the earpiece speaker as you would a normal phone call.
Unfortunately, no one has made a SIP client yet. Octrotalk is the closest, but everything goes via their proxy and the voice quality is very poor.
I've been trying to make a client myself but I'm struggling to get the PJ SIP libraries to work within the WP8 framework. There is another SIP SDK I could use, but it's worth over $1k and I'm not sure I want to pay that.

Hey all,
I'm a new Lumia 920 owner (red), really enjoying the upgrade from the Samsung Focus i917 (WP7.5).

Quick question regarding the Nokia Music app.
Does their service work in New Zealand?
When I go into the Nokia Music Settings, under account it says "sign in", but when I click it I get the following dialogue:

"We can't get through"
"Sorry. There's a problem reaching the music service. Try again in a moment"
"<back>"

It's been saying this since Dec 28.

I understand that Nokia provide a free streaming music service, so I was keen to try it out.

There's no Nokia Music service in New Zealand. You can use Pandora, Rdio or even the Xbox music service instead.
