Wade:bigreddog: Mines just gone back today - started a "Reset your phone" at 9:30 yesterday morning... over 24 hours later still just the cogs turning on the screen... Thats with the Portico update on it!!,
Mine was with Portico update installed too... You should have given reflashing it yourself a go, is a fairly bulletproof process and takes a few minutes (once rom downloaded), you might be without your phone for days for them to do the same process :(

stevechadbourne: kawaii's sorry tale shows that a retailers returns policy can be as important as the price.
I bought my Lumia 920 from Dick Smith. When it bricked they replaced it in store for another.
We could do with some legal help regarding the sale of goods act. If I buy a new item and it is not fit for purpose (difficult to show for an intermittent fault), what are our rights with regard to replacement or repair?

nathan: its quite simple
and retailers basically play up on the fact Consumers don't understand their rights
The CGA Act states that goods must be of "acceptable quality." Acceptable quality in this situation clearly means a new, reliable phone. You can ask the shop to repair the phone.
If they are unable to do so within a reasonable time, or refuse to do so, you can ask for a replacement or get a refund.
Its not your problem to deal with the wholesaler/manufacturer/distributor
that is the retailers problem. Your contract is with the retailer

DuncanMcC: I dropped my phone yesterday and broke the "Gorilla" glass.
Don't believe all the vids folk - it's crap. They break quite easily! :(
(No phone until the assesment's completed tomorrow. Amazing how naked one feels without a phone! :) )
Wade: My 920 seems to have developed a rattle, you can feel something distinctly loose inside. I baby my phone so can irrevocably guarantee it has not been dropped or inappropriately manhandled :P
Performance doesn't seem to be compromised so unsure if I put up or have it looked at, anyone have similar issue?
