it can't be that badI thought there are a couple of workarounds that can be done like turning the debug logging off and overclocking it which then makes it a bit snappier
alvin: my touchpad finally left the US, 4 days ago (after being shunted in 4 different states) using USPS express international.. up until now, NZ post still don't have any information that my package has arrived the country.
are there any other meaning of the word express?

Does the tracking still work once it arrives in NZ though? Often once local tracking in origin country runs out the handover to NZ Post can go untracked until it ends up on your door step. Mine only just left LA this morning at 9am :/ Wont be in Auckland till around Midnight tonight so i'll be lucky if I see it on Monday.
Good luck in getting it soon!
alvin:
sorry for the rant, guys and for the off topic... it is really frustrating as that touchpad has been around 4 differenct states(from one warehouse to another, to the wrong address back to my sister's place and to the depot) and now has been flying for 5 days now... i hope it arrives in one piece...this touchpad thing is really stressful...
fruztrated: If anyone wants one that has been used for roughly 4 hours let me know. I'm getting rid of it for $450 which includes 16GB TouchPad, Touchstone, AC Adapter, HP Case, 3X Screen Covers.

Technofreak: Congratulations on your purchase, I hope you got it at a fair price and not at an inflated TM price.
Regarding the screen protector, I'm still waiting for my Touchpad to arrive however from my short play a couple of weeks ago it seems that the Touchpad has a glass screen (I suspect gorilla glass) which will be reasonably hard to scratch unlike the older resistive touch screens that by necessity had a softer plastic screen which was easy to scratch. I would be inclined not to bother with the protector as I don't see it being of much benefit.
xai: qvc.com was selling a 32GB bundle (touchpad, hp case, touchstone) in the states for $200USD earlier today, rumoured to sell more tomorrow morning (pacific standard time). Don't know if they would take credit cards with NZ addresses but it's worth looking into for anyone that has friends or family in the states :)
