Ive created a new set of NZ MGMaps.  Covers whole of NZ zoom 0-13, and major cities zoom 14-16.  Auckland,Hamilton (including Cambridge and Raglan), Palmerston North, Wellington (including hutt) Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill.

I can upload if someone can point me to a site to load to.  But due to the high zoom level be warned this is over 500mb.

I have formatted my microsd card on my N95 to use fat32 with 1024 to avoid all the space wastage with many small files

I can now upload the 1.2, I don;t want to wase my time if somebody has better though. Uploading.com seems a waste of time.

Anybody else got a suggestion? I cannot use torrents.

25GB free with a free account. Just create an account, then move the file(s) to the "hosted" folder once you've uploaded to your account and the location of the files becomes:

Only 1GB on transfer per month though, that's a whole 6 people downloading it!

I'll arrange it over the next 48 hrs and post a link here.

New version (1.3) of the map loader available with updated NZ maps, sadly only to 6.6MB though so don't expect much in the way of improved detail (on a quick look street placement looked improved, but still barely a street name in sight). Nice speed on the download though compared to previously.

Running Garmin Mobile XT with NZ Open Maps, 3d view, searchable addresses, full voice navigation, quite impressive.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Where are the NZ open maps, or do they come with the program?

EDIT: Nevermind, found them

You have to buy Garmin Mobile Xt, the NZ maps are free to download.
