Hi , i have a Windows Mobile 2002 Ipaq 3870. And i want to get my dsl connection onto it via my Bluetooth. If i bridge my connection on my desktop, i do get a IP assigned on my Ipaq but it does not get the Default Gateway, so im not able to do nething. If i take the bridge out, then i do not get a IP assigned to my Ipaq at all. No matter wat i do.

I read somewhere that i can also share the net if i do a ActiveSync, but i do not have the USB cradle with me. So is there a way that i can ActiveSynce my Ipaq over my Bluetooth connection ? I've tried things but the ActiveSync connection manager just does not finds my Ipaq.

Any help on the above 2 matters will b highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you using Pocket PC OS 2002 or Windows Mobile 2003?

You can perform an ActiveSync over Bluetooth. Using the h3870 you can follow this guide (if you're using Pocket PC OS 2002) or this guide if you're using Windows Mobile 2003.

About the gateway... On your Bluetooth LAN adapter (dekstop) you can enter the full configuration before creating the bridge. This will be replicated to your Pocket PC.

does the ipaq need to be connected to the pc via the cable at least one time before this is possible?

If ActiveSync is already installed and working on your computer, then you computer then you can connect the iPAQ via Bluetooth first time.

The first time ActiveSync is used on a computer it will do a search, then it helps to have the USB plugged in and follow the instructions on the screen for ther first "Search" for devices.
