zhuyan: Very detailed review here:

Looks battery life and ecosystem require a bit more work though...
freitasm: I met with a couple of Blackberry guys based in Sydney. We talked about the new devices (black, white), features, user interface.
I was given a Dev Alpha B device to try the OS and test some stuff.
The interface is pretty fast. Creating new accounts is easy, and I am happy to see I could create my Office 365 Exchange account with no need of BIS or anything else. Added Twitter and Hotmail accounts as well.
Downloaded an OS update OTA (about 697MB) and this device is currently at 10.9.10.35.
Developers will be happy with native SDK and SDKs for Adobe Air, HTML5, Android apps.
Being a Dev Alpha device this is not exactly the same case as in the final product, but the hardware inside is pretty close.
Australia is getting their first devices in March 2010, so I would expect New Zealand to be around that time as well.
So far, so good. It could easily give Windows Phone a run.
