So I got a shiny new Nokia 830 for Christmas, which in itself is a great phone. The screen is good being only 720p, the battery life is great, the camera is great and some of the apps are pretty good too.  I have some of the apps installed that I had on Android - like iheartradio, Pandora, Netflix (well that one isn't working for some reason), Endomondo, Viber, IMDB, Zedge and Stuff(if there is anyone here from Stuff, please fix the app so it grabs the weather)

Anyway, I was wondering what other apps, Geekzone members use on their phones.

Oh and if you have a Windows phone that can do Cortana, set your region to Australia and your language to NZ, and it works fine.

The one that I really like and use a lot is Office Lens. Here Drive+, ASB, OneNote, LastPass, Skype, Wordament, WhatsApp, Xbox One SmartGlass, MSN Weather, MSN Health & Fitness, MSN News, Movie Creator BETA, Cortana (US), Twitter, Facebook, PLEX, Flashlight-X, #1 ToolKit, Microsoft Authenticator (Supports MS Account, LastPass, Google etc).

Been using Lumia Moments (4K video and then grab individual frames to save as photos) a lot with Lumia Camera now that I have the DENIM firmware installed on my Nokia Lumia 1520.

@billgates has a great list of which most I have.

I would also recommend

Blue Skies - Nice clean weather app
Fitbit - If you use the Fitbit service, or are even thinking about using one, I love using this
FlightRadar24 - If you like checking out what's flying around you
RunPee - When is the best time in a movie to go for a toilet break
Flicks.co.nz - Movies including session times
Duolingo - I'm currently learning Spanish and this has been GREAT!
Black - Edits your photos into classy looking B&W's (Lumia Creative Studio also is an essential for this)
6Tag - If you're an Instagram user this is a massively better app than the official Instagram app (which has been in Beta since launching 10 months ago)

Both @billgates and @BrentR have great lists.

Heres a few others I use:

myTube - best Youtube app on WP, IMHO.
Poki - beautiful Pocket client
Translator
Audiocloud - Soundcloud client
IM+ - for Google Hangouts
Lumia Car - great car dashboard that provides a complete hands free experience, including Cortana to my Pioneer head unit (and others obviously)
Nextgen reader - awesome feedly/RSS app
Office Remote - control Office programs (eg Powerpoint presentations) from your phone
Speedtest.net
System Monitor - provides very detailed info about your phone
Wunderlist - great cross platform task and list manager
UC Browser - IE alternative which works just as well
Readit - beautiful Reddit client

I like the included "HERE Transit" and "HERE Maps", they do exactly what they say on the tin, I happily used them in NZ, Australia and England.

If you live in Wellington and use Snapper you can use MyFeeder. http://www.windowsphone.com/en-nz/store/app/myfeeder/60e43050-f899-45f3-9c28-b754e0ace8a9

Aren't all the MSN apps cross-platform now? (Assuming you went to either an iOS or Android device)

Travel had not come across to Android the last time I checked

Just checked and you're right. Hmmm, wierd they would only port 6/7 of their apps over.

Hi, somewhat of a shameless plug. My wife found the news apps pretty bad *cough stuff cough* and all those crapola ones that are just web-browsers to mobile sites so I wrote this one for her. Feel free to give it a blast. It's not as featured as the stuff one, but it's got more favourable reviews than the official stuff app.

Took a look at myTube and found it was not user friendly at all on a Lumia 520 - screen size issue. Couldnt access full screen options etc.

Been nothing on Windows Phone thats made me go "wow" but its probably because most of the apps are just ports/clones of what Ive used previously on IOS/Android.

Thats a shame, i run myTube off a 930 and it looks and runs really well for me.

Take a look at Tubecast, they had a big update this week bringing in a few core features. But it works well, looks fine and is the only youtube app on WP that supports airplay to apple tv and casting to chromecast. Not sure how a 520 would run it but you can only try :)

Bought metrotube and find it an excellent youtube viewer. Blink is cool and so is photosynth.

Not a bad app, but just one small thing, when I go into Stuff for example, I find the scrolling between sections - i.e. tech, business, etc. to be a little laggy and jumpy.
