Hi,
I'm looking for a phone to recommend to clients and also for my wife.

Here's the brief: First and foremost it has to a 'phone' and easy to make recieve calls. Easy to text. Has to be 3G and be able to be used as a bluetooth modem. My wife has an old candybar Nokia that she loves, so ideally something in that form factor and ease of use would be great.
Must work with Exchange 2003 push email.
Did I say it has to be easy to text?

Form factor required is NOT PDA, has to be easy to pocket.

I-mate (and I've had a few) is not a preferred brand (Jas Jam screen alignment issues and just too big).
For push email - nothing beats native activesync on a Windows mobile platform (imho) but Dataviz Roadsync is a close second and Nokia's Exchange product - well I removed that on my e65 within 30 minutes of installing it and went back to Dataviz.
Ease of reading is a big plus - the e65 doesn't really rate here.

Wouldn't recommend Blackberry as the administrative footprint at the server end is too high (again imho)

I know this is the Symbian forum, but I see the Motorola KRZR K3 is supported can anyone offer any experiences with other than Symbian phones?

The Treo 750v and Treo 700wx (depending on preference for GSM or CDMA) is quite good for texting, but I don't like the square screen. And come with native Direct Push.

There's the Vodafone V1210 which is a Smartphone, not Pocket PC. And Telecom has just released the Okta Agent - Windows Mobile Smartphone, $599. Not bad.

Dataviz RoadSync is good - but remember it will only sync Inbox, and not any other folder.

AS for Symbian devices, I tried RoadSync on a Sony Ericsson P990i and it's quite good, but the phone is kind of ugly...

RoadSync supports folders now MF, albeit rather crappily (you have to dig a few layers in from the standby screen and then open each folder individually to see if it contains new mail after you've heard the new mail beep). In the mean time I've reverted to Nokia's Mail for Exchange and OWA when I need (not very often obviously) to get to my folders.

May I ask why you ditched Mail for Exchange so promptly? I've found it to be very similar to RoadSync without having to pay for it!

I beg to disagreeSurprised:It Supports sync push of calendars, and contacts as well as doing a remote sync of sub folders that you select on the remote device....I'm on the road and know that I filed an email in my 'Clients/acme' folder yesterday but I haven't synced that folder cos' I don't use it much. Simple. Go into Road sync. go down a couple of folder level (options..subfolders selct the folder then 'Turn Folder sync on' and there it is.
Of course it also supports 'Remote wipe' and if you are running Exchange 2007Smile will also support remote mailbox folder search!

Boy, this product is so good I might just buy it!
