Hello,
We wanted to let you know of some changes. Three of our MSN apps will be discontinued this autumn along with some features on the MSN Food & Drink and MSN Health & Fitness websites.
If you have stored any of your data in the apps or on the affected websites, please read important instructions below to retrieve that data before the apps and features are discontinued and your data is no longer accessible.
MSN Food & Drink, MSN Health & Fitness and MSN Travel apps will be discontinued

The MSN Food & Drink app on Windows, iOS and Android devices will be discontinued on 28 September 2015.

The MSN Health & Fitness app on Windows, iOS and Android devices will be discontinued on 1 November 2015.

The MSN Travel app will be discontinued on 28 September 2015.
These MSN apps will be removed from their respective app stores in the same timeframe as the dates above and will no longer be accessible from your phone, desktop and tablet devices. Although the apps are being removed, you’ll still find a wealth of content in the Health & Fitness, Travel and Food & Drink sections of the MSN.com website. Here, you'll find the latest news and special features for all three of these interests.
You can also continue to use our other four apps – MSN News, MSN Weather, MSN Sports and MSN Money – and to find them in their respective app stores.
MSN Food & Drink and MSN Health & Fitness website changes

The Shopping List and Collections features on the MSN Food & Drink website will be discontinued on 28 September 2015.

The Diet Tracker and Cardio Tracker on the MSN Health and Fitness website will be discontinued on 1 November 2015.
How to keep your data
Once these apps and MSN website features are discontinued, the information that you've stored in them will no longer be available. If you'd like to keep your data, please take a few moments before the discontinuation date to store it elsewhere. This data includes the following:

MSN Food & Drink: Shopping List, Collections, Meal Plans and any personal recipes you have added
•
MSN Health & Fitness: Diet Tracker, Cardio Tracker, Pedometer and Favourites
•
MSN Travel: Favourites

What are you *doing* Microsoft?
Have Microsoft lost the plot already or what?
Windows Phone can't crack 3% of the market, Windows 10's already a lemon, and Microsoft are telling everyone they're unifying. I'll believe that when they unify their support forums (technet?, answers?, office? - where do you go to say find support for Outlook. Well, you find out the long hard way, usually after wasting a post or two, that the correct place for Outlook support is actually technet. Microsoft need to fix this sort of rubbish.).
What unified app will replace the MSN Travel, Food, Fitness and Health apps - I *use* those!
Windows Phone doesn't seem to be heading anywhere good anymore - WP7 was a nice GUI, and now "live tiles" are something that MS appear to be abandoning. I look at my 1520 running WP8 and see little live info on the face. WP10 Technical Preview killed my phone and req'd a fresh install (and that takes two or three hours!) - the 2nd attempt I got to drive it for 20 minutes (can I rename Outlook Mail to just Mail? - that's what *I* want), before it went into a non-ending reboot cycle. *Who* releases such poor operating system software - regardless of being preview? It sure doesn't instill much confidence. "Lync for Business 2013" only just recently got updated to "Skype for Business". MS take ages to update even their *own* apps!.
Does anyone around here have confidence in this company to survive?
To me, if there was someone smart at MS, they'd release the Linux based 'Windows' OS *and* their Linux based 'WP' OS's. (I'm sure they have developed them - indeed, many years ago). To me, MinWin should have been a beginning, and not something you just religiously stick with - it's hardly "Min" - W7,8,10, WP7,8,10 - are all *large* compared to Linux and Android.
Microsoft must have a thousand or more Linux boxes and testers - they must *know* how snappy, yet light, it is. They probably know they still have the GUI advantage, but for how much longer? They must *know* how fast Linux distros and Android devices update and install new apps - compared to their own behemoths.
Me, I have zero confidence this is going to change for the better in the near future.
