I have a Zire 72s and K700i with gprs activated. When i connect to the net using mobi high speed it gives me this error msg "DNS lookup timed out. Please check coverage and try again. [comm.8]"

I think a lot of you out there are experiencing the same problem. Has anyone had any success with this?? If yes then pls let me know.

Thanks...

Welcome to Geekzone... Is this when using Web Pro? If so, have you unchecked the Use Proxy Server option?

Also, follow the instructions on how to PING with Palm at the end of the article. If the Ping works ok, then the connection is fine, you need to verify the configuration on Web Pro.

If it doesn't work, newer Sony Ericsson mobile phones need a reset. Change your script so that the first line sends ATZ; to the phone.

I have already unchecked the proxy server option in my browser...but no luck...still the same problem. I also tried using Eudora browser for palm but the same problem persists.

Also tried the other 2 options u mentioned..but no luck

I am really at my wits end....if this is a problem with palm and so many people are facing it then why doesn't palm do something to fix this.

Any other suggestions......plzz

thanks for your prompt reply
