Hey.... I just picked up a new motorola v3 and I want to connect my ipaq hx2410 to the internet through it via bluetooth.
My provider is Rogers, and i picked up a cell internet plan....
Anyhow, I can surf the net etc on the cell phone fine via GPRS, but I can't see to get to the net via my ipaq.
I've tried creating a connection on the ipaq:
using the number *99#, username wapuser1, pwd wap, and entered +cgdcont=1,"IP","internet.com" in the 'extra dial-string modem commands'
My ipaq will establish a connection with my v3, but then the connection will fail.
I've also tried using the BT Phone Manager to set up a connection:
-I selected the GPRS network
- for the APN i entered +cgdcont=1,"IP","internet.com"
- Username wapuser1
- pwd wap
- and left the defaults for the rest, ie) dynamic ip etc.
- for the communication device I have it as generic/generic/bluetooth dailup modem, b/c my v3 phone is not in the list.
- for the network operator, I have Rogers wierless(ca)
When I kick this off, it will open a port... I accept the connection on the v3, then as it is loading the GPRS settings, it just fails, and goes back to the BT Phone Manager screen with a status of disconnected.
Please help!
Thanks
