Folks, it seems I may be flying over to Sydney to attend the first Nokia Developer Conference Day in Australia, invited by Nokia.

I don't have the program yet, but if you have questions or are curious about something specific let me know and I will try and find out there.

The big issue with a lot of Nokia owners with GPS is the OVI maps roadmap. There are a bunch of Nokia S60 phones with GPS (E71 is one) which Nokia is silent on whether free Nokia Maps (turn by turn) will come to these phones. If you could find out what they plan with OVI maps it would be great!

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Hey Mauricio, nice to be a celebrity blogger! Our CTO, Greg Amer, is going too so you won't be the only Kiwi there. If Nokia would like to invite an NZ developer over as well feel free to mention our name, of course we've already booked the tickets now! Since we're paying our own way the poor buggers having to make a day of it, catching the first flight over and the last flight back. Perhaps you'll meet in the lounge.

Best regards,
Aaron Davidson.
