I have tried to ise the step by step guides on the internet and am having no success.

I recieved a bluetooth adaptor recently and have been trying to get it to work with my Tungsten T5

I have done the step by step on the palm and am able to send files wirelessly between the two devices however that is where the link appears to stop
The Hotsync will ot work and neither will the Internet.

the adaptor is a Pen Drive USB Bluetooth adaptor
http://www.pendrive.com/products/bluetooth/

and it works fine with my Nokia 6230i

Windows appears to be letting me down as I am not able to see the My Bluetooth Places, I have installed the driver for the bluetooth adaptor and would just like some help, if there is a way to force windows to show the My Bluetooth places I believe this may solve my problems, although if there is a backdoor way to get the 2 devices to communicate i would be happy to use that

I hope someone is able to help me out

Thanks
Ben

If you don't have the Bluetooth icon in the desktop it sounds as your PC is using the Windows drivers. In this case the configuration for serial port (HotSync) is different, and there is no Internet Sharing support.

You probably have the software for this device (should be on a CD). If this is the case, follow the instructions on how to change the Bluetooth drivers from Windows XP to Widcomm (or to any other really).

Make sure you first create a restore point, remove the device, uninstall the drivers, reboot and then follow those instructions.

After that look in our Bluetooth Guides for instructions on how to do the other stuff...

Having tried what you have suggested I come across my possible problem

On the desktop I get displayed to me a "Bluetooth Information Exchanger" additionally after installing the drivers I get the windows blue / white logo but the driver for my BT adaptor prompts me to restart, where upon restarting I recieve a Bluetooth network connection

additional help is needed, I hope its something very simple that I am missing

Thanks
Ben

It looks like this device is not using Widcomm software (neither BlueSoleil). You might want to contact the manufacturer directly then.
