I'm talking for Ps3 here, so I dont need it for online play,  but the PS4 thread got me looking at it and it seems very good value.

for basically $8 per month or so ($90 per year),  I get access to a range of games to download. they add new games each month and I can continue playing the ones I previously downloaded as long as I remain a PS+ member.

looking at what is available right now:

Kingdoms of Amalur
XCom Enemy Unknown
Uncharted 3
LOTR war of the north
ICO and shadow of the collosus remastered (two classic PS2 games)
Demons Souls
as well as a few indie titles that look pretty cool.

All that for only $8 bucks a month, with new games added every month?  

that sounds extraordinary good value to me - I only own Uncharted 3 out of that lot, and the rest are games that all rated reasonably well

and you also get access to a bunch of other things that seem quite nice too (automatic updates, discounts on other games, access to betas, cloud storage of save games etc)


Am I missing something here or is it as good as it sounds?
