Anyone got word theirs has shipped? I haven't yet, but then I'm some thousands beneath you other guys here.

Going to be a cool month or so, in addition to the Ouya I have an Impulse controller, iControlPad2, and some SticknFinds coming to me from things I've backed.

Nope, and I'm actually starting to get a little bit antsy since I'm backer number 205.
Although, I have a feeling that they may be shipping out the higher tier ones before Early Bird ones, regardless of backer number.

In saying that, I've seen reports of Early Bird backers receiving theirs.

In any case, I will be posting here as soon as I get shipping notification, or if my OUYA arrives. Whichever comes first. :)

That could be true, however, they are shipping from Hong Kong, and I would have expected to see a shipping notification (which they said would be sent to me upon dispatch) if other Early Birds have already received theirs. Perhaps the Early Birds that have already received theirs may not have actually received a shipping notification at all?

Who knows. Information certainly isn't flowing from OUYA at this point.

I wasn't sure if the Ouya was shipping with Plex support but I will likely snap on up now that I know it does.

I think the Ouya has better long term promise due to its open source nature, its publicity and simpleness.

Their have been plenty of hand held systems across the years some that have done open source, roms, retro gaming internet gameing and none of them have really taken off, not that the ouyas success is set in concrete i just think it stands a better chance of success and ergo better support and longevity

Thats not good but its not going to dissuade me, Devices like the Ouya have the potential to be popular just based on the community and developers, does anyone remember the nokia n900, its developer community was HUGE because it could do so much, bad phone though.

They did make mention of Plex not looking very good on the device, and it running very hot and loud. But hey, reviews are subjective and I certainly see the appeal of the device. Certain use cases will differ and maybe the negative aspects won't be so apparent for everyone.
