@networkn I don’t think Sony actually ‘shut them down’ - Sony got their lawyers to tell the company that they had to change their name (PlateStation5) then told them the plates are covered under Sony’s IP. Then the company probably thought it wasn’t worth the effort of fighting a giant and went off the air.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Well, I guess if they branded their stuff PlateStation as in physically, then it's not easy to just change the name as stock will have been made already.

I think it's quite a clever name and I think Sony are being a bit over the top with it.

I don’t blame Sony at all for wanting to protect their IP - both branding and physical.

Whereas I don't see how this harms either if it's done well.

I feel dirty siding with the big Corp, but I guess Sony had no control/say/view on whether it was done well or not - hence the shotgun approach.

If they had been poorly designed and made and poorly supported or the company did a bunk without fulfilling orders, then it could be damaging to the Sony and PS brand as well.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Surely, that is true of every accessory made, regardless of whether it's licensed or not? There are some truly awful headphones which are Playstation licensed, that truly reduce the experience you get with a playstation, being sold by the hundred, in retail stores all over the world. :)

Doesn't really matter, they did it, it's over, I just feel it's a bit of a tough approach to take, even though I do sort of understand the logic behind it.

I can't seem to find a definitive view on this, but, what are the chances that Marvel Ironman PS4 VR will work on the PS5 at launch? Or Air Combat 7 VR?

Neither of those are on the incompatibility list.

Anyone had any further communication from their retailer of choice since preordering?  I'm waiting on some kind of instruction from Noel Leeming.

There's some (worrying) discussion about NL on page 27 but I haven't heard anything official. I ordered for pickup so my current plan is to just turn up on the day and see what happens.

Like i mentioned a page or 2 back, EB is smooth so far. I got confirmation and when i visited the store, they seem to have a list of people’s names who are getting their console day one. EB had probably contacted anyone who’s getting theirs day one by now. Hope no one gets screwed by NL or JB hi fi
