Even though I said to get it from mightyape, I've preordered it from JB HiFi, only because I've got uni pretty much all day and no one will probably be home to get it from the courier. So I can just pop into JB on my way home and get it.

NZGamershops = $82
Mighty Ape said they would do $88 plus shipping, so $91.90.

Therefore order canceled with NL. Mightyape, this is your chance to impress me!

Yeah, I've had similar experience with their 'price match' thing.  basically, they don't price match.  pretty weak.

I recently tried to get them to price match Batman: Arkham Origins Definitive Edition to closer reflect EB Games Australia's price. As you can see the difference is quite a chunk of money. They offered to take $5 off. :(

Has anybody else that ordered from MighytApe been charged overnight? Checking the order status states "We expect to dispatch this shipment to you Today" along with the money taken from the old CC. Now don't get me wrong, I'd love to recieve the game a few days early but I'm not going to hold my breath on delivery in the next day or two...

Same for me.  Maybe one of their monkeys doesn't realise it isn't out until next week lol.  Maybe they are doing it to confirm stock and lock in the blimp unlock?

Would make me a happy first time customer...

You're not really comparing apples with apples though are you? Youi can't expect them to price match any price around the world!

To clarify my previous statement I didn't actually ask them to match it but rather just narrow the gap, but personally I feel I am comparing apples with apples in fact I'm comparing the exact same apples for a different price.

Actually, you're not.

You're comparing the price of (apple + shipping) at nzgameshop with the cost of (apple + shipping + GST + Comsumer Guarantees Act) at Mighty Ape.

NZ based retailers have a LOT more compliance costs compared to international retailers.  In return for paying higher prices, kiwis get some of the strongest consumer rights in the world.  (I'm not saying that this is "right", just telling it how it is...)

It's entirely at an individuals discretion to purchase offshore and get a cheap deal if they're not worried about getting the occasional faulty/defective product...  but its completely unreasonable to expect a local retailer to match that price.
