I should try some of the racing games in my library through VR. I could never play them properly in screen mode due to fov and misjudging distance, going too fast around corners. (I don’t have this issue in RL or in VR).

Been playing Elite Dangerous with a friend in multi-crew and it’s pretty sweet to be able to naturally look around while flying.

@handle9 did you actually play games on your week off? Anything you particularly enjoyed from what you purchased?

TLOU II seems to get good reviews. I pre-ordered it, but I found a couple of seemingly honest reviews who basically said "more of the same" without many fixes to what was broken in the first. I guess we will find out soon enough.

I managed to cut the end of my thumb off a couple of weeks ago (2-3mm) so haven't been too keen to use a controller recently. It's coming right now so I think I might have a go next weekend.

Heh, on my recent fishing trip in the weekend I stuck a fish hook into my thumb. Not very far, barely broke the skin but holy hell it hurt like crazy for like 4 days!

I was contemplating re-playing watch dogs 2 on PC.

I was rushing preparing dinner so I could play monopoly with my daughter before she went to bed. Blood everywhere and pretty sore for a few days. Sh*t happens, it could have been worse.

Command & Conquer Remastered.

A lot of nostalgia, they've done a great job at remastering it. I purchased the original in the US back in 1995.

There's a few bugs; occasionally the enemy units just stop, path-finding (particularly harvesters) can be infuriating, and if you dare to shoot an enemy harvester the AI quite simply instantly sends every unit at their disposal as retribution.

When did that get released?

Spiderman is good :)

You may have seen in another thread that I downloaded Spidey last night. Better be good because I'm holding you accountable. 😀

Well, I finished Spider-Man recently and really enjoyed it on the whole - but I thought it was a bit repetitive and simplistic at times. I was aiming for close to 100% completion but my getting-old twitch reflexes let me down on some of the timed missions (smashing AC vents on buildings, fritzing video screens in Times Square, bomb disposal missions etc) and I just couldn't do many of those. That was frustrating and annoying - but my shortcoming, not the game. Many thanks for the recommendation.

I'm now a week or so into Assassin's Creed: Origins - and enjoying it very much. The graphics are really good (for a three-year-old game) and I love the realisation of ancient Egypt  - beautifully done. Great evenly-balanced and believable main story and side missions. Terrific game so far and very pretty.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Played some of the limited early access version of Grounded over the last couple of nights.

Seemed like a light and breezy kind of survival game, right up until a spider the size of a truck chased me halfway across the map!

Still Overwatch and gone back to Sims 3 again.....  gonna play a "Lvl 4" scenario. Lock the Sim in a house for in-game 4 weeks with only an hour's outing at a time, and see how despondent he gets. ;)

Friends and I eyeing up Satisfactory - looks fun.

The Last of Us Part 2 is now on my PS4 and ready to go.

Torturous that I have to now work for the day.

I made the mistake of preordering it from Mighty Ape, it looks like it's still sitting up in a CourierPost depot in Auckland (I'm in Chch). Currently listening to the Last of Us 1 soundtrack instead...

I tried playing Borderlands The Pre-Sequel last weekend, I was a big fan of 1 & 2 but the Pre-Sequel just didn't grab me, I'm not sure what it was about it.
