Sweet, managed to get CP300+ Oddish, Clefairy and Eevee during my lunch before the servers once again took a tumble

Anyone in Dunedin got any advice on where to find some of the harder to get Pokemon; I've seen a few spawn for 10 odd minutes while sitting at work, but of course I am "working" so can't go and try to chase. In the weekend I need to hit up the Botanical Gardens and a few other garden type places, and I am thinking golf courses might be a good place to go ..

Across the road from the PokeStop I can hit while sitting at my desk is another PokeStop (just out of range for me)
Someone in the last 40 minutes set of a lure there, so I've been able to catch some Pokemon as they appeared at the lure - including two new Pokemon (Ponyta CP19 and Gloom CP435). Included were some high level Pidgys and another high level Oddish (CP357)

Just don't tell the boss :-)

There is no real spot where you go, just explore your entire city and you will some new ones. There are walks over the entire country this weekend. Here is the one for Dunedin

Yeah everywhere you go you will see people. One of the best parts of this game is you interact with so many people. Even if it's just a simple Hello, you always get one in return.

Went for our evening walk today and found some awesome bits and pieces i never knew about Pukekohe. Was out for around 2 hours instead of out 45min walk. Saw a few people out playing and a couple and their daughter playing who we stopped and chatted with for a few moments. What an unexpected and pleasant result of a silly little game. Now i am going to show swmbo the South Park Chimpokemon episode :P

My GF is walking around the house looking for more Pokemons!!!

Yup, I'm playing it - first Pokemon game since red/blue/yellow (although I did play Fire Red - remake of Red).

I like the concept a lot.  Went for a run tonight and had a bit of a laugh at how many people were out in the twilight playing.  Stopped at a gym, there were 3 teenagers there and all my pokemon died in about 3 minutes.

Cool game, but it wont last long for ordinary folk.  The ability to simply pay cash to level up presumably means all those people like me who don't like to 'pay as you go' for games will be left in the dust in no time.  Don't know how else someone would have multiple pokemon over 1000cp otherwise!

Still haven't seen a person playing it. Just the usual head down at phones.

Went into Takapuna with my son today and there were 4 lures going at Hurstmere Green beside the ASB and about 40 people there playing. Got some great new Pokemon, including some high-level ones. Saw a Scyther but there were so many Pokestops there that I couldn't tap on it without opening the Pokestop and it disappeared. My son got a 400+ Golduck.

I have a few over 1000CP and I haven't paid a single cent nor do I plan to.

Believe it or not there is 2k+ CP, that was 2 days ago I saw pictures. Would easily be 2.5K by now I'd say, if not 3K.

Thankfully he is an Ingress player and a Pokemon Beta player so he was actually the one who told me all about it

It is amazing what can be found when the multiple lures are set in a multiple PokeStop areas; otherwise it seems to be luck what is found while waiting for things to appear around you.

And what is common for some, might be uncommon for others. However every Pokemon counts towards the XP level up goal, which gets crazy high after level 15 and stupid after level 20

On a technical note, with the large-scale public walks this Saturday - https://www.facebook.com/PokemonGONewZealandNZ/events - I'd love to see some mobile data usage statistics from nearby cellsites.
