Apologies if this has been answered but this thread is now very long! The PS5 pre-order came and went before I even knew about it, now I'm trying to figure out how to secure a PS5 for my kids for Christmas, but no websites appear to be taking pre-orders for any subsequent waves... I know official launch day is tomorrow, does anyone have any knowledge about what stock levels are likely to be like between now and Christmas and what the best strategy would be to get hold of one? I'm in Chch.

Vodafone pre-order from midday tomorrow. delivery before 15th Dec.

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

Depending on the requirements, I am a VF customer and I'd be happy to help you if I can.

avecha: Any word on PS Now or Atmos/Dolby Vision yet?

My terrible photo of the mighty ape midnight collect. Yes I could've taken a screenshot but didn't. Down the bottom.

Thanks for that unreadable screen capture!

Anytime brother. I took a quick screengrab as I was making phone calls and relaying info to people about the PS5. Glad you could see that it says

"In celebration of the release of the new PlayStation 5 console, we'd just like to let you know that we

will be opening midnight November the 11th (doors open from 11.30pm to 1am) for you to

come in and collect your order.

We keep all stock safely in our warehouse, so please allow 5-10 minutes after you arrive for us to

fetch your item(s)

PLEASE NOTE: We've moved! Mighty Ape is now in Milwater, near Silverdale.

Our address is:

Just an apology email from The Warehouse saying that their email saying the PS5 being delivered today was wrong and that the "expected delivery for all PS5 orders is Thursday 12 November, or shortly after in hard to reach spots".

It was always expected but good to see they are keeping their reputation of unreliable coms

MightyApe and JB-HIFI have also hinted that they have held back some stock for ordering on the 12th so it might be worth keeping an eye out on announcements

Could also try Mighty Ape tomorrow. They are doing another round of pre orders expected to ship by December 15th.

Mighty Ape and JB HI-FI also say they will have limited stock available to order online tomorrow but can't give an exact time yet. Mighty Ape say "tomorrow morning" and Vodafone say "lunchtime" so just have to keep checking.

I missed out on the pre-order as wasn't quick enough so going to try tomorrow. I have some Mighty Ape credit I've been saving for this plus money from a recent birthday and a prezzy card that I won which cover about half of it so fingers crossed. Working from home tomorrow so I can get away with constantly checking!

I contacted the warehouse to enquire about when I can collect the PS5 and they sent me a tracking number. I assume it is for the whole shipment that’s going to the warehouse I am picking up from.

Wow, thanks so much to both of you for offering to do that. I have a friend on VF who can do this for me but I really appreciate the offer.
