So I waited until launch to order mine. Why I don't know but it was a big mistake obviously.

shop.ouya.tv won't ship outside of the USA anymore, the order page: http://www.ouya.tv/order lists 3 international sellers, only one of them will ship internationally at 105GBP incl shipping it comes to around $210nz for this little console.

got mine yesterday, all i can say is, currently its terrible.

the gamepad the buttons get stuck very easy. i heard this could happen, but thought it was rare, it happens way way to easily, both the main buttons and the triggers.

the control lags a lot and requires a system reboot. eg pushing up on control, then 3 seconds later the game responds.

the touch pad/mouse is really really bad and very hard to use.

a lot of the games are just direct dumps from the android store and dont work well or sometimes at all.

the orange background of the menu looks horrible.

the android settings page doesnt always scroll down to show more options and sometimes doesnt scroll back up once you have gotten down. this is just bizarre.

if you want an ouya for gaming then wait, this is so not ready for general use.

for xbmc, which is the reason i bought one, xbmc works pretty well, does crash a lot ATM (xbmc always does at first on a new platform) but playback everything pretty good. live tv is super pixelated ATM though (using nextpvr as a tv server).

netflix works ok (have to download the apk yourself so not in the ouya store), you cant scroll the episode list as its a tablets UI and doesnt support gestures.

geekiegeek: Amazon?

Tried that.
Shipping RestrictionsAmazon.ca cannot ship Software, Computer & Video Games, Gift Cards or Electronics internationally. Also, we cannot currently ship any items to addresses in Angola, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, and Sudan.

Well, I got my shipping email 4 days ago and the tracking now works and says the Ouya was scanned in Hong Kong about 12 hours ago. A few days of travel to NZ and a few days from Auckland to Wellington and i'll have mine next week... barring any further delays.

Woops just found out about unotelly and unblock US on another thread. A DNS solution to geo blocking. Answered my own question. Also have just tonight setup unotelly and netflix account on my PS3 and laptop. Very happy with the smooth streaming and quality.

yeah im using unblock-us to watch netflix. the latest version of netflix for android though stops video playback when the ouya controller goes to sleep.

plex is ok on ouya, just looks like a quick adaption of their tablet app to ouya (navigating can be a bit of a PITA atm).

the controller is rubbish, the buttons stick a lot.

Hey guys,

I got mine yesterday!  And I concur with the controller lag issues.  Just going to try and sideload XBMC et al.

Funnily enough I never got an email but I contacted their support via email and they responded really quickly (<1 day) and we ironed out an address error.  So I never got any emails re shipping!

Hopefully they can get the logistics sorted soon and start working on the interface issues.
