So far it’s a mixed bag for people. Console owners getting a real short stick, assets not loading up to 5-20 seconds leaving models looking like ps1 era polygons. Very low framerate and blurriness to cover it up. Xbox One S reported to be running at 15fps 720p in outdoor city areas.

Personally it’s running okay at 1440p high with RTX ultra + DLSS quality mode (2070super). Anywhere between 30-60fps depending on location, but open spaces where there is a lot of light and reflection drops it down to 30fps. Looks amazing though, got a glimpse of quality when I left all settings at ultra+rtx ultra with dlss off for character creation. First scene loading in was incredibly sharp and detailed but running at 11-18fps :D

Absolutely no issues running the game, no crashes or errors. Occasionally npcs get stuck in a T-pose animation but seems like a common bug. Im seeing a recommendation for people to check their gpu/cpu clocks for stability. A lot of wacky issues like cars randomly flipping and objects mucking up collision sounds like physics engine not working correctly.

For fun I turned off RTX, set to medium and used DLSS ultra performance setting and got in the range of 90fps+, incredibly smooth but just a bit too blocky/blurry in fast combat. Using nvidia sharpening setting in nvcp also helps clear up softness of TAA based DLSS.

Fina-freaking-ly, my copy arrived.

Not impressed with MA or NZ Post, neither who could have given a rats.

Hope you’ve popped it in so it can patch. Unless demand has died down, bandwidth might be a bit sketchy with everyone trying to dl day one patch etc.

Sadly, I am at work until later. Will drive home, insert it and take the kids to squash, come home, eat, put kids to bed and then, if I am not too tired, try it for a few minutes before passing out :)

I'll be interested to hear how long the disc install + patch takes.  I downloaded the whole 60GB of game from Steam in about 30 mins.  Used to take me better part of that long just to install 40GB from optical to drive!

Wow Cyberpunk is a stunning, truly next gen looking game on PC. Console players need the ray tracing updates asap.

So far it’s pretty good even without raytracing. I’m playing with it off and on high settings with DLSS quality so my 2070super can pump out 70-90 fps instead of slogging at 30fps with rtx.

Maybe in a few years time I’ll do a replay with goty and a better gfx card. Right now I’d rather just play normally.

I'm getting a solid 55-60fps with everything on. Feels plenty good to me, but I'm not really able to differentiate anything about about 50fps anyway. I haven't had any slow downs at all, just fan speed ups lol.

Still lamenting the implementation of HDR on Windows though. It's just such an after thought at the moment.

Pre latest drivers, 1440p ultra settings, only issue was game would grind to a halt when driving around the city, as soon as I'm on foot, no issues. Has to be the game I can't see a 2080 ti / 3900x choking badly like that.

Drivers updated, will try again tomorrow.

I usually get my daughter to help me create my characters on every game and oh boy, the shock we both got further down the creation screen. I play female characters all the time so not so bad.

I've only watched two trailers in the entire time this game was announced way back when, im not one to buy into hype trains and stay away from all media releases for games so this caught me off guard

My crashes were before installing the latest drivers, so I'd expect your problems to resolve too.

Had a wee jam on Friday night on the pc with cyberpunk, it’s good, however the details I felt were a bit lacking for what it was hyped to be.

although my pc cpu (i7 8700) was running into the high 70s temp wise and my 1070 was completely maxed out so I may need to look at a new AIO and beg my wife to get a 3070 lol

I am still getting to grips with the interface, terminology etc. It's quite a lot to take in and I feel like even a few hours in, I am missing quite a lot.

Hopefully, as I get more into the game it becomes more natural.

To be fair, in my experience with the Witcher 3, I rarely used oils, or potions or anything. If it makes a big difference, it's not apparent to me, perhaps with some boss-type enemies, so I often can't be bothered making oils and collecting ingredients when I am getting the job done without it.

Oils etc make a huge difference depending on the weakness of the enemy.  That is, the difference between half a dozen good slashes with the sword, vs button mashing for 10 minutes while dropping enemy health a millimetre at a time.  Depends what difficulty level you play on though I suspect, i.e. easy/normal are probably not as reliant.

For the Witcher 3, oils definitely made fights easier, as did the potions to buff yourself before/during fights. Took me ages to figure it out but when I did it was like a light bulb moment hahaha. Learning the strengths and weaknesses of your enemies and applying the correct combination of buffs and attacks was very satisfying.
