Just a heads-up for any who used the Vodafone ordering for 15 December release.

I was charged and had an order number. I did not have a confirmation email however.

I finally got hold of someone and they have no record of the order going through. Apparently we will receive an email when the refund has been processed.

For me it is a cookie-cutter AC game. If you like the franchise as a whole and are on board with the changes that Origins and Odyssey made to the combat and RPG-ish elements, then I am sure you will like it. Certainly it looks and plays great on PS5 at 4k60.

 

I have played a few hours and have now gone back to Demon's Souls but I will come back to it eventually... Like every game in the series though, I really *really* wish they would let go of the Animus/Abstergo nonsense though. It was rubbish in the first game and continues to be rubbish to this day.

I have played a few hours and have now gone back to Demon's Souls but I will come back to it eventually... God Yes!

 

It's so disruptive. I am having fun, nek minit I am in some other universe doing stupid things I don't care one ioata about.

Possibly - they apparently also had 'technical issues' so some people got charged 2-3x for their order. I only got charged once, but not allocated a product 😄 7-10 working days for a refund! Lucky was on a credit card so it doesn't really matter but still very poor experience!

 

There's a few media stories on it.

 

You'd be hard-pressed to find a worse company to deal with than Vodafone in general so I wasn't hopeful.  I'm actually looking forward to not buying from them 🤘

Not sure where you read I had a tax invoice only an order number. I have phoned and there is no record of the order, and given Vodafone's history, I am 99% sure there isn't a ps5 at the end of all that drama!
I gave my previous pre-order up for niece's Xmas and you know what they say about no good deed! 😂😭✌️

I think you should be alright!  Vodafone customer service rep wanted to know if I had an email confirmation and think that might be key to whether you were allocated a console or not!

Had my first PS5 freeze tonight. When I powered on the console, I started playing Bugsnax. I was also notified of an update file being downloaded for this. After a few seconds of gameplay, the game froze, and the console wouldn't respond to any controller input (including the PlayStation button). After a few seconds, it unfroze, and I was able to resume gameplay for a few seconds. The second time it froze, it never responded, and I was forced to power it down and up again.

 

After a quick system repair, I was back in business. But I ensured the Bugsnax update had downloaded and installed before playing the game. Based on this, and reports elsewhere, I'm wondering if the bug has something to do with simultaneous access to the filesystem by games in use and updates for them.

Similar thing happened to me in AC Valhalla yesterday afternoon - I think the game crashed - not necessarily a PS5 issue. Restarted PS5 via the Power option and the game started easily at the last save.

 

Really impressed and amazed at the very short start and load times of Valhalla on PS5 compared to the agony of AC Odyssey on PS4.





Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Whats the deal with having an overseas PS+ account, i get it needs to be linked to a different account, but I have the understanding you don't need to mess with VPNs or anything, is that right?
