Whats the deal with having an overseas PS+ account, i get it needs to be linked to a different account, but I have the understanding you don't need to mess with VPNs or anything, is that right?

I set up a PS account (but not a PS+ account) that purports to be a UK account so that I could download PS4 apps like BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport and ITV Hub - great streaming sources. You can't get these apps using a NZ PS account. Then switched back to my NZ account.

I put dns4me DNS settings on the PS4 - otherwise you get an error message saying "this content cannot be viewed in your country". This is almost identical to the approach you can take to get those apps on Apple TV. Maybe you don't get the error message if you stay logged with the UK account - don't know.

I put these DNS settings on my PS5 when I got it last week. Searched for the UK apps but found that apps for those sources aren't available yet for PS5 - early next year sometime.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Cheers for that, im based in the UK so no need to play with DNS for iplayer luckily. But the likes of Fifa21 seems to be about £25 in the US store and £45 in the UK, so just wanting to know what hoops i have to jump through for the US version.

PSN Store selling FIFA for 25 quid in the US? Do you know that yo will probably need to add tax on top so it'll probably end up being 28 quid.

Depends what state I say i'm in. Point is still decent enough savings to be had using a different store by the looks.

So, I am confused with the external storage options for PS5. As I understand it, a 1TB External SSD will allow me to store and run PS4 only games as PS5 games are Internal Storage only.

If a game was originally a PS4 game, but was patched to be enhanced for PS5 for example, improved graphics, textures, say God of War if that was done to that, would that work from my External Storage or only run from Internal storage?

Any updates as to when PS5 will allow Internal storage upgrades?

Any EB Games employees in here that could shed some light on pre orders being fulfilled in December vs January? My estimated arrival date said 12/11/2020 while my friend who ordered after me had his say 31/12/2020 and was able to pick his up on launch day. My order has been paid for in full.

At this point I would advise against using external storage. From the Whirlpool forum is Oz there is a thread dedicated to PS5 issues. There's a number of reports in there of consoles crashing and even being bricked, unable to be recovered from safe mode. A common theme seems to be using external storage and resuming from rest mode.

Never thought I'd see Whingepool mentioned here. OCAU has no mentions of users with issues so far though the same awareness of the overall issues has been raised.

Thanks so much!

Now people canunderstand what you were trying to convey, without having to google and losing interest (not so convenient on mobile). Hope that helps!
