$100 non-refundable deposit, payable AFTER purchase...

I'm not sure how that works, since the pre-order FAQ page is not live, but the PS5 one is probably the same story here.

I am going with EBGames trade in offer this time around for Xbox. $449 is a fantastic price for a One X trade in and the staff mentioned that you may get even more trade in $ value being a silver card member but they will get that confirmed in few days time. I am happy with $449 price and not dealing with trademe selling my old console.

That's been confirmed overseas to be the case(https://press-start.com.au/news/xbox/2020/09/10/eb-games-trade-deals-for-the-xbox-series-x-s-are-quite-good/), so, would expect this to also apply in NZ.

My plan was to go straight to Level 3 (am a new member) by doing the following, and then getting more in extra trade in than the cost.

Members may progress straight to EB World membership Level 3 for a twelve (12) month period when they purchase a physical subscription to ‘Australian & New Zealand Game Informer Magazine’ for AUD $29.95 / NZ $39.95

Sadly, it looks like that option is no longer available due to the magazine stopping in AU/NZ.

Anyone know when mightyape will go live to order? Looking into the spark deal, and having to have an on account mobile with them means I probably will just buy it outright since 2 years on a spark mobile isnt something I really want to do.

That sucks regarding no more EB world memberships upgrade to Level 3. I bought it just before Xbox One few years ago now and the magazine was good read as well. I have used the card few times now as you get much better price and not dealing with trade me. Level 3 gets you another 15% trade in value so hopefully I can score the new Series X for under $400 considering I will be trading it in with a Elite controller v1.

Yeah, kinda would be nice to know what the go is with the JB HiFi one before the fact.

The only reason I want to go with JB is a $200 voucher I have, but it would be nice to know what the deal is with payment/deposit etc

Does anybody know how payment worked with the PS5 preorder there? (Which I see has since been closed due to demand)

Anyone seen Noel Leemings pre-order stuff? If I can earn flybuys then I will go that route, especially if the price / volume etc. remains the same which it will for pre-order stuff.

Any info on the tradein T&Cs (or how it applies to pre-orders). The webpage just says to talk to one of their staff....

Anyone know if I pre-order online can I settle a balance in store at eb games, JB hi-fi or Noel Leeming?

I've got a $200 Westfield voucher been burning a hole in my pocket, I just can't get to Westfield tomorrow morning to preorder the thing in person so would rather just do it online.

So I talked to EBGames, who basically said 'bring your tradein in when you come and pick up the console'. I was surprised that they didnt want the original box or anything (which as a geekzone hoarder I of course have), just power cable and controller.

They sell their refurbs in their own boxes for consistancy so I would sell the orig box on trademe and hope you get a bite from a completionist, or else hang onto it incase you get a one X again at a later date.

But what if JB Hi-Fi is out of stock, then you're stuck with a lot of gift cards :) Think I'm going for NL as they have $10 off and Fly Buys. And I prefer a physical store, compared to e.g. Mighty Ape.
