I've given up on RDR Online. I don't have time to learn 50 keys and processes, I'm happy sitting down and just blasting stuff for a bit. Technically, still an amazing game (even runs well on my ancient system), but be prepared to spend time learning it.

Started playing Deep Rock Galactic - is fun with mates, has some great humor in it :) Was on special so got it for about $25. Devs seem to be really responsive to feedback etc, so its getting great feedback from players.

Really wish I knew how to code. I'd LOVE to see some Amiga games re-done for todays systems, WITHOUT touching the gameplay aspect. But alas, someone buys the name, and ruins the game (Syndicate, North and South for example).

Playing Nioh 2 with two mates in expedition mode on PC. Good fun getting absolutely slaughtered by the difficulty plus shenanigans when rescuing or ‘helping’ a mate into a boss.

Valheim has also popped up on our radar. The early access and survival sandbox raises a few flags but so far it’s been pretty good. Player hosted world instances are limited to 10 players and the game is majority PvE so no Rust/Ark/Conan PvP trolling.

After 125 hours invested, I’ve just finished Ghost of Tsushima with 100% completion and all trophies. Cleared literally every single thing from the map. I’ve never been interested in trophies in the past and never got past getting half of them in any game - but this beautiful game is so good, I just wanted to keep going.

Great story and voice-acting, stunning visuals, outstanding music, accurate and well-thought-out combat - brilliant and stylish. Overall best game I’ve ever played - well, in recent years and in this genre anyway. As an older gamer, I’ve thought my twitch reflexes weren’t much good but I managed to master all the combat moves here - but that could be down to great design and implementation as much as anything else. Either way, I’m thinking I might have staved off a few years of Alzheimers.

I’m going to put the game up for sale here if anyone is interested - but my comments aren’t meant to be an ad for it. 😃

I did the same thing re clearing the map and quests completely.  Didn't bother with trophies in terms of playing through different difficulty levels, but satisfied I got to the end of the story with nothing left to do :)

Recently started The Last of Us Pt 2. Good game but obviously very linear compared to the open worlds of Ghost of Tsushima and AC Valhalla, which I have recently finished. I know - different style of game - very Naughty Dog - and linear is be expected innit.

When I got to Seattle (no real spoiler) I wondered how accurate was ND’s depiction of the city. Those who have played it, or are thinking of it, may find this interesting:

Playing around with LSPDFR for GTAV - fun mod that turns the game into a cop simulator instead - a LOT of keys to learn though....... I can arrest people happily but cant seem to get them into my car to take to jail.... :D

I put up an installation guide for Epic Games users on my site as its not as straightforward as the Steam version.

I am playing Curse of the Dead Gods, which I found through a reviews channel I occasionally check in on. Gets good reviews. It's a Rogue like limited stamina dungeon explorer. It can be frustrating and challenging, but hella fun when you get it right.

I haven't had much time for gaming recently, other than co-operative BL3 with my best friend. I have been continuing with Curse of the Dead Gods, but I might only play 1-2 levels every week or so.

I saw the trailer for the new Doom Eternal expansion and it looks pretty good. I enjoyed both of the latest Doom games, they are mindless, but still reasonable entertainment.

I have been playing Torchlight 3 which has been ok. Some very good sections with regular hard challenges against interesting and strong enemies. The fort concept is great but I just do not have the time to spend building it. Went to load the game the other day and got a data corrupt error message. Game opened and latest character was gone. Really pissed off as I was 3/4 through and have lost the character and all items gathered with it in the shared stash.

Looking forward to Diablo 4

I am fortunate to have a child-free spouse free weekend coming up and intend to finish the Witcher 3 if I can. Also the original DOOM.

I am very excited about a very chilled and quiet weekend doing whatever I want.

Don't call me unless you are on fire, and want me to put you out... with a hammer :)

Having played, enjoyed and completed the Demon Souls remake, I finally went back and completed Dark Souls - finishing up last night.

That is 1, 3 and Demon Souls down. I really need to go back to Bloodborne and finish that off now...then see if I can finally get to grips with Sekiro before Elden Ring comes out!

Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars [PC]. Got it for $1 through Cashrewards.

Slowly getting my girlfriend into gaming. Started off with wii Mario Kart through Dolphin emulator; a little bit of Fall Guys; and now Lego Star Wars so we can play together.

Just a bit tough teaching someone who has never used a Playstation/Xbox controller before. On top of that, translating the Xbox buttons into DS4 since the Lego game shows Xbox hints on screen but we're using playstation controllers.

Worth it for the commentary alone though. She starts talking like some Terry Tough Nut after killing a couple droids 😄

I've been plugging away at Death Stranding the last week or so.  I'm further along than when I played it when it first came out, but I put it down back then as Last of Us 2 came out soon after.  It's super relaxing for the most part, I quite look forward to my 1-2 hour treks across the landscape.  I've got about halfway through the story and things are definitely starting to get Kojima weird.

Also bought a Switch Lite recently so I've been playing around some stuff on that in bed before crashing.  Mario Odyssey is really fun, and Curse of the Dead Gods, among others :)
