I've been plugging away at Death Stranding the last week or so.  I'm further along than when I played it when it first came out, but I put it down back then as Last of Us 2 came out soon after.  It's super relaxing for the most part, I quite look forward to my 1-2 hour treks across the landscape.  I've got about halfway through the story and things are definitely starting to get Kojima weird.

Also bought a Switch Lite recently so I've been playing around some stuff on that in bed before crashing.  Mario Odyssey is really fun, and Curse of the Dead Gods, among others :)

If you like mobile gaming, may I recommend Clash of Clans? We are always looking for clanmates :)

Ooh absolutely not lol Like my mate that keeps trying to get me to play Fortnite, it's the sort of thing I'd never stop once I get started.

Been playing ratchet and clank as it was free. That's a fun game for some mindless action.

It's school holidays now so my wife is giving uncharted a go and really enjoying it. The kids are a bit grumpy as they aren't gettn a lookin at the PS4.

Rhythm Doctor is an amazing game if you like rhythm games - but if you are interested in it, try not to watch any spoilers because it is worth going in blind

This game looked like a cool idea but steep for $20?...

Hand the PS4 over to the kids and get a PS5 for you and Mrs Handle - that’ll keep the kids happy. 😀

I’m priming that pump for summer - if we can’t travel then a PS5 is definitely on the cards. The chancellor of the exchequer has approved the expenditure in principle but I still need to get it past the finance sub-committee.

@Handle9 Of course what I really meant was, if it was our household, there would be a general outcry from the kids who would demand to use the spanking new and ultra-desirable PS5 - and you and Mrs H would be under pressure to use the PS4. A new console may not bring harmony and accord.

We are in the fortunate position that just so long as Minecraft works they can be playing on just about anything.

Miss 6 likes gaming but isn't fussed. Miss 9 on the other hand is more than obsessed with Minecraft.

It's in early access and more content will be released but agree that the price is a bit much at this stage for a game that takes maybe four hours to complete (though many more to get S+ on each track).  I felt like it was worth it though, one of my favourite games I've played recently and the second boss level is one of my favourite levels of all time

Semi-related to games being played, with the now ‘hot’ market for pc parts a mate wasn’t able to get the new build he was after. I was trying out Steam remote play the other day and realised it wasn’t half bad going over the net.

Since he was getting slightly left out of recent games with his 870m gpu I realised I could set him up on a spare rig of mine with remote play for the games that his gpu couldn’t cut it.

Seemed better than waiting for the market to clear up and being left out of games that interested him.

Just finished The Last of Us P2 - an amazing game.

Was scouting around for the next game and came across Rise of the Tomb Raider - 20 Year Celebration. It’s somewhat juvenile compared to TLOU2 and I thought I’d struggle to get into it - but after a few hours it’s really growing on me. At my advanced age I’m past caring whether there’s any shame in playing something like this.

Can someone (without spoiling) give me an indication how far through the Witcher 3 I am after I meet Zennifer at Skellige for the Wake?

From memory, 1/3 to 1/2. Others may have a clearer idea.

Edit: I guess you can't really google for this without risking spoilers  - so I did it for you 😀. There's a long and detailed plot summary on IMDB and simply by judging where the wake is referred to in that summary, it appears that my 1/2 above is about right.
