afe66: Civilisation 5. Have friends who have played since Civ 1 alot.... One played til the wee small hours and forgot about his chemistry exam in morning. Only $20 several months back on steam. I've decided I'm a kill all the other civilisations type player unfortunately.
Same.
Wipeout Omega Collection has just been given a free PSVR update. With a PS4 Pro it super samples at 1620p before being sent to the 1080P VR goggles at a beautiful 60 FPS.
If any game was made for VR it's Wipeout
Wow, Wow, Wow!!
Far Cry 5 enjoying it so for
Well, I finished my first ever far cry (5) game and I was very impressed. Helped I had a lot of time free this time, which was a result of poor health, but silver linings and all that! I really enjoyed it, and if I didn't have about 30 other games to finish I might have considered having a crack at 100% it.
I highly recommend it.
gehenna: Also playing with 7.1 surround headphones this time and it is terrifying. My cat jumped on my legs the other night while playing and it almost sent me through the roof!
I played the original Dark Souls in my home theatre once. The huge screen, surround sound, and "isolation" from playing in that environment made it a very different experience; you see more details, but you also hear many more subtle sounds. When you already know the levels, the "extra" sounds add a sense of the unknown and I ended up looking around for hidden enemies a lot!
Oh, I like playing computer games too, I was great fan of them in my teenage years and I still play them time till time, however now that happens not too often because adult life is much busier :p
My the most favourite one is Half Life 2, in my opinion it's the best games which had been ever made. I played it so many times and I dream about releasing third episode some day. They should end that amazing plot! :)
I also like GTA, Hitman and Alien VS Predator series, the last one from them was really good. BloodRayne is my favourite too, in my opinion it's one of the best ones in case of main female character. Chaser, Thief and Prey are good ones too.
I like some mmorgs too, especially Cabal, Shaiya and World of Warcraft. But I don't play them often because I don't like much that donating thing for such types of games.
And I adore virtual gambling, especially online casinos dr vegas casino and card games, it's a great fun for me too but I've never spent too much money on such games.
gehenna: I'm still hanging out for God of War next week. Decided to play The Last of Us again while I wait. That game is still a masterpiece, of any media on any platform. This time around is on my Pro with HDR 60fps and 1800p. Silky smooth and looks gorgeous for a 5yo game.
Also playing with 7.1 surround headphones this time and it is terrifying. My cat jumped on my legs the other night while playing and it almost sent me through the roof!
The Last of Us is a piece of art. It's impressive how after a few gaming hours I was really worried about those characters. Still missing them.
God of WAr! (Obv...)
Loving it so far - combat much more tactical and weighty than previous versions, RPG aspects a bit deeper, the story elements are really coming alive and it looks absolutely incredible IMHO - amazing texture work in SuperSampling mode on PS4 Pro and the lighting is first rate.
Yep God of War, picked it up on Friday on the way home from an out of town funeral. Playing the first few hours was a good way to let off some of that funeral steam!
But now I've spent the last day in bed sick and the controller is just taunting me but any time I try play I get nauseous. Oh the humanity!
The reviews for the new God of War are very positive. I still can hear Kratos saying "BOY!", "BOY!, "BOY!"
Still on Overwatch with mates, got Dirt Rally for free from Humble Bundle, keen to try it with the Oculus I got.
About 8 months into a Civ5 game with mates as well. Im losing badly but considering I havent touched a Civ game since the original Amiga release..... :D
